ive been getting same number several times a week.
*57 works the call trace got the police involved and the calls stopped.
yes the 1234567890 is a telemarketing service and not just primus
its a telemarketing service for telemarketers so beware
one survey to another gets info and gives it to another
this also applies to some online store credit card info scams - AnneI have been getting calls 2-3 times a day from 123-456-7890 for almost the last two weeks. The first one I answered, from the phone in the kitchen w/o caller id.. silence, thought it was strange, checked the phone with caller id, and there it was.. it's been haunting us ever since!
I'm going to look into Bell's *60, and see if it helps.. i don't care if it costs me at this point... calls at 11:00 pm are not cool! - egsitpugI too have the number 1-123-456-7890 with Unknown Name attached, calling my home a few times a week including Sundays for about a month now. I just never answered it figuring it was a tele-marketer. Today my son answered and they asked to speak with Mr. or Mrs. and gave our last name, I just hung up the phone and did not speak with them. I'm figuring it is a tele-marketer and as most tele-marketing companies now run by computer program, where the program randomly dials a telephone number and the individual(s) name appears on the screen and this is the person asked for. I do believe that you shall be permitted to be put on their "Do Not Call" list if you ask them, and they are therefore then required to respect you wish of not being called, however this is sometimes only for a 1 year placement and is not permanent.
- chantal replies to Dainne Crosby| 1 replyif you recieve calls from this number *57 it!!! then contact your local police.. i did and they are researching it and how to stop it... the more people that report it the sooner it will stop!!!
- butterflyReceived a call from 123-456-7890. What a weird number. I am from Oshawa, Ontario. Didn't answer the call. First time I've seen it before!
- Hivin replies to Liz| 2 repliesThat number registers, at a minimum, 3 times a day on my caller ID. I now consider it a form of harassment. I tried answering it 2 times ... no one seems to pick up so I'm assuming it's a computer generated call. My fear is it's one of those scams where they can change your Long Distance provider just because you answered it, or someother type of scam. Someone has to know where/who it originates from and what the scam is behind it.
Who do we need to contact to report this to and complain about it ... if it's telemarketers then they should be losing their telemarketing license for making harrassing and annoying calls. As far as I'm concerned it's an invasion of my privacy. The CRTC ... who do we call/contact to get this stopped? - JhazonI am located in New Brunswick and received calls from 123-456-7890 yesterday and today. Both occasions I answered but received no reply. I attempted to call the number but only received a "please hangup and try your call again" recording. Whoever is running the operation does not know how to run a sync dialer. I work for a company where we conduct outcalling and this sort of "mystery" and out-of-sync dialer would never fly! I intend on contacting Aliant on this matter.
- Caller: Unkown Name
- LinWe have gotten sales calls and hang-ups from 123-456-7890, but we also got one from a friend using SKYPE. I wonder if all the calls are using something like SKYPE and this is how the phone companies are identifying them instead of using unknown or private.
- GregThis number has been calling me for weeks multiple times/day. I've no idea who they are and they never speak when I answer the phone. I just don't GET the chance to [***] with them.
- coryThey identified themselves as Sears as a courtesy call.

I got the same call today, Primus with a long distance offer. asked to be taken off the calling list, so we'll see if that helps!
That's hilarious, as I just got a call from that number, but no one was on the other end ... mechanical voice says 'forwarding', then nothing. Funny thing is I just switched to PRIMUS a couple of weeks ago, and they offer Free Telemarketing Guard with basic HomePhone. So if it was Primus calling me that's pretty funny, as I've added that number to the list.
Btw, I was getting about 4 - 6 nuisance calls a day (888, 800, etc), and now maybe one a week at the most. Works like a charm. - AntJust got a call from 123 456-7890.
Have no idea who it is, calls every few days.
I am in Québec with Bell Canada, anybody have any suggestions. - whodotheythinkthey'refoolingLive in Ontario. I have received calls from this number the past couple of days. First from "Ricky Roy" of Primus and then from "Chad" of Primus, both offering deals on long distance. Obviously fake names as they both have Indian accents.

- FedUpKeep getting calls from this (123) 456-7890 number.
Wish they'd stop - LindaI have had several calls over the past number of months from this '123-456-7890' & it has always been an automated call. Each time it states that if I don't want further calls, to press 3. Well, it hasn't worked. I also found out that automated calls are illegal, but how can they be stopped? What I don't like, is that it can be somewhat alarming if someone has received this call for the first time, as it says something about a credit card account.
- aliciaI have recieved a call from the same number 123-456-7890 and haven't picked up, because I was afraid that it was one off those calls that charges you as soon as you answer. But now that I have read your comments I am glad that I didn't answer the call. But if anyone knows about a number that as been calling me let me know who they are the number is
