I got one of these calls yesterday like other posters I didn't answer it i just googled the number and found this site

This number called me twice within a minute. I was not around to pick it up. Glad I found this site otherwise I probably would have picked up out of curiosity.

Just got a call (had them before), next time, since I have caller ID, I'll use a whistle.  I hope someone is on the other end and can blow out an eardrum

Received a call from 1-123-456-7890 while I was away from home..Seems strange for a call like that since the 123 of the number is supposed to be an area code and as far as my research shows, there isn't a place with a 123 area code.

Even if I was home when receiving that call I know I wouldn't have answered it since I never knew who it was....and also, If I don't know who is calling I never answer anyways.

Just received this call in sask.canada and they just hung up when I answered.

Just got a call from them too a few days ago.

I guess the telephone system is hacked.  Serious repercussions too, people might trust CLID services.

No information here...but like everyone, I received a call from this number.  I am sooooooooo thankful for Caller ID and so very thankful for sites like this.

It is a little spooky getting a call from such a bizarre number.  Laughed when I read submitters wondering if it was the devil.  I didn't answer.  I knew it wasn't anyone friendly.

I bet the first call is to verify someone answers, then the later calls are the scam artists they sell the numbers to.

I thought it was only email to worry about, but now they phone me...WTF.

Just don't answer it...it is no one friendly.

Got a call from this # but didn't answer it, no message left either. It's the first time this # showed up on the phone, it's an area code I've never seen before or even heard of. Just decided to google it and here I am on this site. Won't even consider answering it if there's a next time.

showed up on my caller id 123-456-7890, unknown. I didn't answer it, and they left no message.  Cant find anything for it on reverse lookup.  Can't call it back, either.  I did however add the # to my selctive call blocking, so I'd like to see them bother me again!  Dumb [***]!

This is the second time that this caller called, they used a different number but the same area code.

I HAVE BEEN GETTING MANY OF THESE CALLS OVER THE LAST FEW WEEKS.

two calls from these folks--I never answer "unknown caller" calls.  Could have gotten into voice mail, but have no messages.  I tried reporting these people on the gov. do not call list, but 123 is not a valid area code so the complaint cannot be filed on line.

Just got my second call this week. I just let it go to my answering machine, (cuz I never answer calls from any number I don't know anyway) but no one leaves a message. Glad I'm not the only one getting this. This needs to stop!!

After some research, I've learned that these fake numbers are phishing scams from VoiP users. Even a kid can scramble the caller ID numbers with this service. Bottom line is don't respond in any way, as they're identity theives & are just looking for bank account info so they can drain your cash.

Im from Canada, and i did received that # on my caller id.. My husband did answered and said that it was a recording and its sais something like < This is a test> and it hung up.. weird..

I contacted Verizon & all they said was that if it's less than 5 calls a day, they won't bother to investigate. And since the numbers are fake, there's no way to track them on the Nat'l "Do Not Call" list.

I received two calls from this number and a telemarketer representing Primus, offering a long distance package, was on the other end of the line.  I usually don't answer calls with hidden IDs and ridiculous phone numbers, but this one was too good to pass up.

Thought the area code was odd so I googled it tonight as 123 didn't ring any Canadian bells. No message was left though.
