I keep a battery run shriek alarm by the phone and use it when they call. Whisper if they can hear me and then use this baby to shriek in their ear. Theyy hang up quick. Never call back.

Suspect number - I don't answer. Not even a legal number for USA.
Spam, Phishing prank.

123456-7890 called our landline. We didn't answer and I went to your site to report it.

Left no message. Whoever came up with this stupid phone #?

Keeps calling 3 to 4 times never leaves a message. Won't receive call backs.

HOW do we stop this - they call EVERYDAY - sometimes 5 times a day! This is driving me nuts

What, you mean this obviously bogus phone number made of ascending digits which NANPA does not recognize? I have better ways to waste my time.

If you instead wanted a mystery caller to get lost, you've entirely the wrong idea. 800Notes is not a messaging service. 800Notes does not send alerts to your callers when you post here, a bulletin board style of website with public access. You must direct your demands to the sources of your unwanted calls.

Nowhere on 800Notes is such a service promised or suggested. It's your job to manage nuisance calls to your phones. This is obviously a fake number. HERE IS WHAT TO WATCH FOR!!! These numbers are to achieve typically a few things. Primarily they want you to answer "Yes?" Rather than "hello?" If they have your voice saying "yes" recorded they can sign up for almost anything like credit cards, loans, etc and guess who ends up owing the money in the end? Also beware if they try to get you to say your name, address, etc because the more they have in your voice the more options that opens up.

Caller greeted by my block button, scammer must be high or something SPOOFING a number like this.

There have been several telephone scams in which the caller tries to elicit a "yes" answer from the called person.  Those scams have been around for at least four years.

The good part is ... Snopes states there are NO verified reports of people actually getting charged solely because of their "yes" answer.

Interesting observation:      
Several posters claim the "say yes" scam caused multiple people to suffer financial loss, but canNOT give us links to prove that contention, and cannot state how people lose money if they do not give card or bank or specific, critical ID information to the caller!
