Got a call at 8:50 AM.  Male caller with a heavy South Asian accent said his name was Michael and he was calling from Microsoft Tech Support about my computer.  This scam is so old I'm amazed anyone is still trying to pull it.

Calls totaling around 10 in 2 days. Absolute silence on the other end.. When I didn't hang up immediately, the call lasted about 8 seconds long.

I have received nine phone calls today several from a private number several from Anonymous and then finally this number. I answered one of the calls today quite upset because I was in a work meeting and when I told the gentleman who called me to quit calling me this much while I'm at work he hung up on me

I have been called over 20 times today. The person hangs up after 7 seconds and doesn't say anything.

They keep calling me from this number.  It's not a number I k ow so I don't answer it or either it is restricted

I had 15 calls today from this number.  Picked up once and told them to stop calling.  Man said that I had 10 calls when I told him to stop calling.   Tried to block it with comcast but all they said was that it was an invalid nunber,  No helo

Guys, I'll clear this up a bit. Most of the calls from this number comes from an active group of scammers that use what seems like thousands of numbers for so many scams that all end up being for money, Those calls come from Pakistan. THEY DO NOT HAVE TO FOLLOW THE RULES OF THE DNC LIST. That list applies for telemarketers. And these people aren't telemarketers, they are idiot scammers. Other calls from this number can call from all around the world, and can replace any city or state or country with a different one when it comes to the caller I'd that shows up. Prank callers can use this number, anybody who wants to can. All I can say is SCAM SCAM SCAM. There is a 99.99% chance that if you get a call from any unlegitamite number that there is a scammer or a robot behind the phone or computer. And, they can charge your phone bill for up to THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS the millisecond you click "answer". So, DONT answer this call.

Please explain to us how they will accomplish this and how do you know this. Cite your source. That way we will know you are not making this up.

By the way, this a fake/spoofed number.
In the North American Numbering Plan, area codes and telephone exchanges do not start with a 0 or 1.

What do you expect when you answer a number as FAKE as this? A FAKER on the other end!

Find this guy and put him behind bars.
