Brandon from the RNC, this morning.  Caller ID is worthless when the telemarketers can make up their own phone numbers for it.

I also got the call, but I didn't mind the call, Why, because I bought a Digitone Call Blocker.  www.digitone.com The first time they call, it rings my phone and the call comes through. I then block the number and the next time they call, my phone doesn't even ring and the blocker hangs up on them. You can even block entire area codes. I have it setup to block any incoming calls with the 200 area code. The blocker keeps track of all calls, good and bad ones. Then I like to check to see who got hung up on just for fun like I am now.

You need to buy one of these, you’ll like it. No monthly fees either

It's a spoofed number regardless.  Report it to the FCC.

On Feb 22 2013 8:19PM Eastern Got a strange call. Here. the Voice was a Male speaking English with an Israeli accent. He asked for people to support Privatization of Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board and went on this for a while. I said I do not support this position and he hung up. The Records here indicate this may be Waste Management Systems. IF this is the case, then this is the Old Shultz Hauling Business started in 1950's run by a guy named Robin Williams. The trash hauler has long terms ties to the Chicago Syndicate. The PA Gov Corbett worked for them and he is now trying to privatize the PA Liquor stores. Given I am one who opposed this position this would make sense.  See www.noplaceforcorruption.com Docs Section for more details under Corbett Section.

    May be legit
They start with a message "this is not a debt collector" and tell you to call back a number with a file number. I answered the phone on the third day of their calling spree and it was a poll but they said it was a News poll and they did ask a specific question regarding a vote specific to the "Five Towns, in Nassau County NY".

The whole thing was weird, called a few days in a row with the message but then called at 6:00 PM and a live person asked a legit question, I do not think it was a specific party.

I receive at least 2 or more calls a day from 200-200-000.  Its always the same, if you answer it there is only silence and the connection is left open until you hang up.  If you let it ring, no message is left!  This is very annoying!  I really wish there was a way to stop these calls!

If you received a call from this number, chances are someone in your home is, or has been, a member of AARP.  They asked me 4 poll questions, thanked me and hung up.  No big deal.  However, if they call back again, I'll be sure to ask them why they are.

Received a call today from this number asking if I supported the government decision to add more ethanol to fuel. When I answered "no" they asked if they could patch me through to Washington so my voice could be heard. I refused because there was no identifying information from the caller except her name. Don't know if it would have been a scam, but didn't have a good vibe.

I have actually gotten those air horns and used them on scammers and boy was they pissed.

I remember getting a few from the Republicans and I always tell them "you people bother me more than the Democrats so guess who I am voting for?"

I remember them stuttering just before I hung up, lol

Hang up is very upsetting.  If I go all the way to the phone and no one is there.

It is true that political calls are exempt from the DNC registry. Based on the fact that these calls are being spoofed, I DO NOT believe they fall under the DNC exemption.
