About a week now, I've been receiving calls from this number.  All times of day and night.  When I didn't answer, they left no message.  When I answered, heard all kinds of commotion in background.  They hang up.  Sometimes 3 to 4 times in one our.

Unknown, ring & hang up, 28 calls in 3 days! But landline ringer is already turned off, ha ha!

Four calls today from this number within two hours.....NO MESSAGE!!  Absolutely insane!

The IRS reminds people that they can know pretty easily when a supposed IRS caller is a fake. Here are five things the scammers often do but the IRS will not do. Any one of these five things is a tell-tale sign of a scam. The IRS will never:
Call to demand immediate payment, nor will we call about taxes owed without first having mailed you a bill..

Demand that you pay taxes without giving you the opportunity to question or appeal the amount they say you owe.

Require you to use a specific payment method for your taxes, such as a prepaid debit card.

Ask for credit or debit card numbers over the phone.

Threaten to bring in local police or other law-enforcement groups to have you arrested for not paying.

Has called over and over today. I blocked the number.

Claimed to be a survey company (Matthews).  She never got to do a survey, but she hung on for almost five minutes while I did a Cheech and Chong-style act.  Keeping them on the line costs them money and keeps them from calling someone else during that time.  Its some small revenge for them calling at all hours and days.

Every day I get this call.. not once... twice but 3 times.. We are on the DO NOT CALL LIST... but yet this caller calls.        I answer and no one is there.... u can hear talking in the back ground.. Call and hang up.. I hang up..... they leave messages, but no message is there.. light flashes... PLEASE STOP CALLING.......... Call on ID says OUT of AREA................. DC #..........PLEASE STOP NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have received calls from this number but never answer since I don't recognize the number. One time I called it back but they didn't answer the ring. Now I don't answer the phone.

I've gotten five calls in the last half hour--I answer, no one responds and I hang up...they call back right away...same thing.

(202) 062-3215 calls my home about 5 times per day starting in early afternoon and up until 10pm. No answer, just dead air.

It's a spoofed/fake telephone number. Area codes and telephone exchanges cannot start with a 0 or 1. 062 is a fake telephone exchange.

I have gotten calls from this number literally back to back to back...  Today 5X within 20 Mins.  This has been happening for days.  They will call several times.  I answered the couple and never said anything...  They will say my name and then hang up.  Ridiculous since I am paying to be unlisted by brighthouse.  Smh.

"Unlisted" means your name and address are not in the publicly-accessible information sources provided by Brighthouse. In other words, not in a phone book, printed or electronic.

But if you have given that number to anyone else to call, like a business, then it eventually gets given, along with your name, to marketing people who then sell it ... Brighthouse has no control over any of that.

The 202 area code is Washington DC, but the scammers pretending to be IRS agents either use or spoof a lot of numbers in that area code when making calls. Unless you need to get callbacks from that area code, use a callblocker that blocks the entire area code.

Your callers are hard core Indian and Pakistani scammer/extortionists and they will NOT stop calling you.  Invest in a call blocker ansd DO NOT pick up on call numbers you do not recognize.  Do not return their calls do NOT talk to them.

I picked up and they said is Bryan there and then talked so quickly I couldn't understand what she said. It was an American sounding person, though, not Chinese. Didn't stop for a breath and wanted to ask me a few questions. Never gave me a chance to say anything so I hung up.  Never got another call.
