Really...I've been unemployed over a year. Every bill I have is late. And this "Catherine" (who, by the way, does NOT speak English as her first language) wants to give me $9000 in grant money for paying my bills on time and not filing bankruptcy? I've only had this cell number a couple of months because my monthly plan was cut off due to non-payment! Can our government not do any better than this to protect its true loyal citizens?

Jack Williams called said he was working with the government and he would forward me $9,000. to a debit card. Same number 202-499-1489 ture good to be true!

I just got the Loyal Citizen Grant call for $9000.  The female caller also spoke broken English and needed a checking, savings or credit card to process the money today.  She only had my cell number,  she did not know my name.  The number had a 905 area code not 202.  Said she was in DC and working for the treasury department.  I refused to give my account numbers so that was the end of the call.  I tried to call the number back, but went unanswered.

Just received a call today from 7748283686237.  I was first confused by how many number's was on the phone.  Secondly the guy talking had a very thick accent and was not speaking very clearly.  He said I had been selected for a grant for $9000 and began to ask for account information.  After I told him I wasn't comfortable giving my account information over the phone he kept reiterating that this is the only way they tranfer the money and that it would take only 45 minutes.  When I asked if their was a internet website I could go to he said nothing and asked for my account information again.  

A the while I was googling Loyal citizen grants and I was brought to this website.  I hung up the second I read the first 3 post!!!

Had that same call today they all Me to send 200 dollars by western union to be able to send me the 9000 dollars but I told them ya are a [***] scam I think they like Arabian or something

Got this call today but could not understand the woman's name. Her English was so poor.  When she said I had been selected to receive a $9,000 grant I knew it was a scam. I interrupted her to ask a question  and she stopped. With a heavy, husky voice and breathing hard I said,  "Are you wearing any underwear?" She said, "What did you say?" I repeated my question slowly and she hung up.

I cant believe I wasted minutes entertaining that crap!

I receieved this scam of a call while driving home from work today, someone with a thich indian accent who could barely speak English was completely reading from a script, said that I had been selected to be given a grant amount of 9,000 for being a loyak citizen. So I asked for more details, and he kept repeating what he said. I asked if it was a loan, he said no, but there was a delay like a vonage or overseas phone line. He started asking how I wanted my money deposited by account or by credit card. I told him I wasn't intrested and hung up. Went online and googled this and this forum came up. For as long as they have been doing this, they mus have people who say yes otherwise they wouldn't keep doing it.

I got a phone call this evening from a woman with a very thick foreign accent who spoke broken English.  The number was 714-686-2415, but when I answered, I thought it was disconnected or that there wasn't anyone on the line because it took a long time for them to say anything.  I was told I qualified for the Loyal Citizen Grant of $9000 that was part of some government program for a random 1500 people who pay their bills on time.  I could barely understand the lady, but she asked me if I wanted the money deposited into my checking account via wire or some type of direct deposit.  I KNEW it was a scam, but I was busy doing homework so I hung up....

Just received this call as well.  I gave "Henry Brown" (with a heavy Indian accent? OK, Mr. Brown) a WalMart card # with a negative balance.  "Henry" gave me an address and everything: 200 Independence SW Ave.  I called the phone number which appeared on my caller ID as the # from which he called me, and low and behold, the phone number belongs to a very nice woman who informed me I had been lied to.  The number was her own personal cell phone number.  Needless to say, I've cancelled the WalMart card and will NEVER purchase a WalMart card again.  In fact, I will not be doing any type of business with WalMart ever again, whether it's their fault or not.  

If anyone has any info on how to bring these blatant criminals to justice, please let me know.  This is unacceptable and must be addressed immediately.

The phone number "Henry Brown"called from is (714) 686-2618.  He gave me the number of his associate by the name of "Alvis Green", which is (202) 499-1587.  Please help me with ANY information to help bring these people to justice.

lol omg they tried to get me too this people are crazy then they sound so convincing but very stupid at the same time they told me my number was chosen but i havent had this number long i gave them one of my old prepaid card numbers and once i got to the end lol he said they would need a debit card to charge my one time $300 tranfer fee lmfao i said sorry cant do that i dont have it he said well call back once you get it but i simply told him if its a scam which i was already aware of that id contact the fbi lol re responded no need this is the us treasury but yu speak half english & you give me a grant by choosing my number and you need $300  of my dollars omg the  thirst is real you cant trust anything these days sad

I just received a phone call as well stating the grant was for $8400. Hey if you wanna hand over $8400 to me for no reason and I don' have to pay it back, hell yeah I'll take it, send me a check!!!! Yeah, nice try idiots!!!!! I certainly hope in this day and age people are not naive enough to actually but into this crap and give their info!!!!  The number that called me was 202-666-8547. Same as all other posts, don't speak clear English and massive chatter in the background!

They are using a new number now and that number is 2068665663 and they are using the name mark and the lady call first and then gives you the number to talk to mark and then once i called bak and asked them to drop the grant and that i didnt want it and for them to stop calling my phone he then begun to speak whatever language it was that he spoke.

I got the the call from 2026668547, and the same story that I have been selected oh well luckily selected to get the grant of 9000. It was fun talking to the lady but this is a big scam, I got these type of few months back too. At that time, my number was selected in U.K. (kidding me...) Please guys do not believe in all these and do not provide your information to anyone...block these numbers: 2026668547 & 2024701409

I got the same call from "catherine" (7089511286) wanting to give me $9000. I was googling this info as she was talking, I hung up on her and she called back from (7089511305).

Yeah, i got this call on the 26th of October, this weird guy, had an accent, couldn't speak english, and i heard something in the background, kinda staticky, saying that i got a "good citizen's award" of $9000 for paying my bills on time and not having anything on my permanent record. 1) im 16, so what bills do i have to pay 2) im pretty sure that my record is clean, but what kind of name is "good citizen's award" he asked me what i would use the money for, telling me i couldnt use it for drugs and such, and then gave me this code and told me to call this "Alvis Green" guy, and when he gave me the code, he said simplistic examples, like R for rabbit or J for jaguar, and i gave him some expired card which was emptied out 3 years ago. i was told to call that "Alvis Green" guy, who told me to go to western union and pay a $200 transaction fee for some Reservation thing that gives money to people in third-world countries. I said i wasn't close to one,and he told me to call him back whenever i got to go to a western union. The two numbers were 202-738-4535 for that Alvis Green guy, and the other guy was 765-315-7126, watch out for those numbers

I received a call this morning from (732)489.3117 telling me that I have a grant of $9000 for being a loyal citizen, paying my bills on time, and not filing bankruptcy. I was given a confirmation number and told to call Mr. Green at (202)697.9440 with my confirmation number. I called the first number back and it was disconnected. Then I called Mr.Green and he informed me that I would only receive the money if I were to wire him $200!!!!! Crazy!!! I thought it sounded too good to be true.Times are hard and I don't have ANY money to be giving to the government or anyone for that matter. Whatta scam! Please don't be fooled by this people. They almost had me. I gave them a debit card with $0 balance and I am not sending them $200 via Western Union either!  I wish there was a way to report these scam artists!!!
