I did get several calls from 202 6210020 telling me that the government has a $9000 grant for me I have to call 202 684 6608

I too just received a call from them.
I played along, so I call back to 202-684-6608 and gave them the AT123 Id # they gave me so I could collect my $9000.00
They wanted me to put $195.00 on a "green dot money card ? something like that" to get my activation card so I could go to any western union, Walgreens, CVS & collect.

I typed in the Phone # in google search & found the were in McClean Virginia / Fairfax county.
I called Fairfax County financial crime division 703-246-7800 and reported them.

Interestingly enough, I lied & told the telemarketer (foreign, Arabic type accent?) I just happened to be in McClean VA on vacation & would love to stop by there office and pay them the $195.00 in person right now, so I could begin to collect my $9,000.00. I was told, I needed to deposit my $195.00 first before I came to there office. I said..no prob...give me your address & I will stop by & bring my receipt after I made my deposit.

The response then was CLICK as you can imagine....LOL...Wish we could be in the area when / if they get handcuffed!

They are "FAKE AND SCAM". I hope the police dept so something and put this person into "PRISONER"

Just got a call saying that I'm going to receive a $9,000 government grant. The guy said how would I like to be paid. I told him in cash. He said no but 3 other ways to be paid. I took the Western Union method and he gave me this number. I get these calls often.

I was called this morning and told that I was believed to be guilty of income tax evasion. I should not ignore the call or I could be ARRESTED for tax evasion. The caller ID said the call was from Washington DC. Person had a thick accent.

Same thing just happened to me.

Same thing here.  But remember the IRS has said that they will never call you, they do things like this by mail.

They called and said I'm going to be arrested for tax evasion if I disregard. I'm going to start packing. :)

Had the same info left in a voicemail today.  I called him back, called him out on his lies, and he hung up.

Got the same phone call today. 4/9/15. So sad people fall for this. Wish there was a way to catch them and get them arrested.

Melvin Batchet called and claimed we were guilty of tax evasion and that we should not ignore his call or we would be subject to arrest. He called from 202-684-6608. What I would like to know is why the Phone Companies can't identify who is behind this number. Last I knew they don't give phone numbers or their services away for free. They should be able to trace this number back to whomever is paying for that line/service.

Total scam, hung up on me and I called back and asked why he hung up on me.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

I received the same message this morning twice.  Same Melvin guy, super heavy accent.  I called him back to play along and he aggressively asked  me if my call came on my cell or home number.  I told him I couldn't understand him and hung up.

I received the same call as many here on 4-9-2015.  The caller was threatening arrest due to tax evasion. He gave the 202 number.  I had received a similar call in January and that person had a thick accent. The number he gave was 866-792-2921.  Both callers said they represented the IRS.  I had read that the IRS does not make these types of calls so I was not worried but it is still hard to hear these threats.
