They have  called our U.S government office

Called me stating I was involved in tax fraud and he is from the IRS.

I got the same phone call yesterday 5/22/2015.  I have reported the caller.

I got the same call from Melvin Batchet who said he was from the IRS and had a thick Asian accent. He said that before they take me to the court house for tax evasion I need to call 202.684.6608.

I got the same call too. And LOVE messing with scammers and telemarketers. I called and asked for his name. The voicemail said Melvin and it was clearly the same guy who said his name was Mike Brown. I asked for his agent number and gave me 2123136749. Sounds like a phone number to me. I asked to speak with his supervisor and he said he was the supervisor. Wow, Melvin, Mike Brown and a supervisor. I then said I knew he was a scam and reporting to the FBI. Shockingly got the same click.....

I received many  call from phone number 202-684-6608 leaving a voice mail message that said I had to arrest

Told me in very broken English that I committed IRS fraud. Told him to go F$#! Himself

I got the same thing today.  Called it back and scammed him lmao

Just left a message on answering machine.  Same MO. Claiming to be from IRS.

Got a call from 202-684-6608, Melvin Backet or Tacket?? Asian or Indian accent.
Claiming I committed Tax Fraud.
I called back, he told me to call back in 10 minutes.  I told him no and anyone threatening me is a serious thing to me.  He told me to hold on and I was disconnected.
Anyone look into who this guy is?

I was called this morning and told that I was  guilty of income tax evasion. I should not ignore the call or I could be ARRESTED for tax evasion. Caller identified himself as Sean Marshall Badge #645189 and I needed to call back as soon as possible or they WILL come and arrest me.  I called the number back he was freaking me out.  I said I did not receive any notice from IRS and he said they were here and have a picture of my house!  I told him I work from home so I could not miss them, he then said ok then I hope you get a good lawyer and have lots of money cause you will be going to jail!!!

He Said I needed to get in my car right now drive to the bank and withdraw 1000.00 then go to CVS or Stop & Shop to purchase the Green DOT card card and put the money on it ~ he will stay on the line while I am driving.  This is a special deal cannot tell anyone or deal is off and you go straight to jail.  Then I was transferred to Officer Frank Martin Badge #958126 he said he would stay on the line (cell phone) and for me to go to the bank and get a cash advance on credit card.  Told him I don't have $1000.00 and he said I needed to go get a personal loan.  Don't tell what you need it for and he would call me back in 1hr

Received a call at 12:12AM today, went to voicemail.  Foreign accent said that he was an IRS agent, and that it was very important that I call back as soon as possible.  Being an obvious, not to mention stupid, scam, I just ignored.

Received the same call being told I would go to jail if I ignored this call.  I'm gong to ignore it!!

Same call from Melvin who said that I would be arrested for not paying Federal Taxes.  Did not call the number back, I know it is a scam.  My Mother received the same call and was scared to death.  How dare these people frighten our senior citizens.  I hope that someone will track them down.

Same story - someone in the household committed tax fraud and will be arrested.  Called back, 202-684-6608, and no answer.  All I wanted to tell Officer Thatcher was to F*** off.  The real IRS doesn't work this way.  A total scam.  Unfortunately, people will believe this scam artist.

Received  same call.of course they were going to send me money. 90000 I didn't  have to pay back .right.I hung up .

Somebody called me today phone number is 202-684-6608 claiming that he is an officer from IRS and that there's a complain that  I did tax evasion and that I need to call back or else they will arrest me. How could this be? I file my taxes every year!!!

I received call stating I was guilty of tax evasion, and if I did not call back, I would be going to jail.

I just got the same call, from the same DC phone number, and was told that I fraudulently owed thousands of dollars in back taxes and I had 2 choices: I could either get an attorney, or settle out of court. but that I had to give an answer right now before hanging up, or else they would proceed with a warrant for my arrest with the local courts and spend 3 years in jail if I lost the case along with $52,000 in penalties. I told them it sounded fishy, and asked that if it was legitimate, why wouldn't I have been sent mail from the IRS about this before this call. I told them that I wanted to call my tax preparer to legitimize, and it should be ok, if they were legit. After talking to my tax preparer, they advised that they have been getting calls like this for a few months now and advised that you can call the treasury/inspector general at 800-366-4484 to make a complaint. By the way, the very well known tax preparation operation confirmed that the IRS NEVER calls people, they would send mail, and even in a case where they have to call an individual, they only address themselves using their last name (Mr. So and so), don't use case #'s or have "badge" numbers. Although most of us don't fall for this scam, we did need to get these jerks shut down as there are some others that may give up their information out of fear of what they are being told.

Got a call yesterday at about 1235 from 202-684-6608 saying I had a Tax evasion case against me and that I should call back to avoid being arrested.  My land line doesn't have long distance so I called from my cell.  Guy said may I help you I said I received a call from this number about Tax evasion. he said did I call your home and I said yes then he hung up.
