I have received two calls (today) from this number asking for my wife (on my cell number).  I told them that she was right here; what is this about.   .......funny  they hung up.    (I too will welcome their next call)

i just received two calls from this number today as well. i went to answer it and they hung up. i tried calling back and its busy. i am glad you all informed me of this scam. i am going to have fun with them as well if they call me again!

Scam: I just received a call from this number and spoke to Helen Swift she told me that i have been choosen for a Federal Grant of 10,200. she grabbed some information and then asked for a bank account so i gave her an account with no balance. She then told me to call this number to confirm my grant approval the number was 202 697 9049. I then called and spoke to someone and was told that my money was already available at the Federal Reserved Bank in New York, but i had to pay a fee of $162.00 at a western union or money gram.

I have had this guy call me everyday for the past 4 weeks. He is insistent to talk to me and insists that I need to hear what he has to say. It has been about birth control and depression drugs and if I needed a lawyer. I usually hung up on him or ignored it, but I had enough and told him I wanted his supervisor. He told me to "shut my mouth and F******* listen to him" He also told me if I didn't shut my Fing mouth he would slap it. Then he said he wanted to F*** me and then told me to F*** off. There were many other choice phrases and I am too mad to continue typing. IF anyone knows how to contact this company and report this, please let me know!

Be careful how much fun you have. He gets very verbally abusive and threatening. I have called the BBB who says they cannot do anything much without a business name. My phone carrier put a block on the #. Now I am off to call the FTC.

Got the call today. In formed them since she said she was from the Gov. i would be calling homeland Security

Funny, since the conventional wisdom is that the boiler rooms generating these calls are filled with drug addicts.

I just blocked cid on my phone and called the call back number you listed.  I got through to an answering svc /machine and left a message, just saying over and over (in monotone voice) "Where's my $10,200.  I need my $10,200. What do I have to do to get my $10,200???"  I kept repeating this until I got bored.  I hope this was not one of my juvenile mistakes (I'm actually way into middle age, just have an adolescent streak), and that they didn't harness my number for future pestering.

Just got a call from this # 202-697-9205........I was extremely excited and was looking forward to my 10,200 US government grant........then thanks to U my fears were verified bf I did anything stupid!

A lady who identifed herself as a federal employee calling from the "Government Grant Department".  She stated that  the government has grant money that belong to me.  She then requested my bank  information to direct deposit $10,000 in my personal account.  I did not provide any information to this lady as I knew it was  another scam.  When further questioned about the "free money"; but she started talking very fast and then hang-up her telephone on me.

Thank God I read this. This number has been calling, and hanging up on me and my husband for some time. I dont know if this helps anyone, but it may be tied to this company, which I have been receiving calls from them at the exact same time. Weinberg Cochran, there number that comes up is 512-582-7337 but they have multiple other numbers. Saying they are alling from fraudulent department and that they are offically being governed by federal law.they my husband must call with his attorney about an outstanding debt regarding fraud. I was so scared at first, because they said they would prosecute him. so I always being a sceptic looked up the number. and came to this site, its in here really bad for fraud. I dont think its a coincidence that both numbers start calling me at the same time. I think its the same people!

This person called me and told me the government was giving away free Grant money. They had my name and address but told me I had to give them my bank account number or my debit card in order to get it. The person that called me spoken broken English and kept asking ME what i said.. SCAMMERS! I bet some elderly person fell for that.

This number has called me a minimum of 10 times and I have asked 4 seperate times to be put on the DNC list and they hang up on me and continue to call back.

This is harrassment and a complete disregard for FTC regulations.  Matter of fact I do have a contact at the FTC, so I will be reaching out to them today in regards to this.

Received this call today and same grant sorry, i asked her what department she was calling from and she said government grant department i googled it at the same time and said sorry but what government...she said YOUR GOVERNMENT..LOL!! I said well thank you so much i would love those money so send it in the form of a check to my address on file and i will gladly cash it at MY GOVERNMENT BANK , she got mad and said three only way three could give me  my money was with my acct info so i said well ok them not a problem since you have my personal info evidently to know that i have grant money please verify my Midler name and i need your cs id number please she started screaming saying you stupid [***] you don't know who you are dealing with to which i replied yes a do, A DUMBASS LOL

The person told me I was awarded $10,200 grant money form the government.  He gave me another number to call.  When I called n gave her my prepaid visa info which has a 0 balance, she told me I couldn't get the money until I sent $116 dollars to the Red Cross or any charity.  Then I was SURE this is a scam.

they are working 503/oregon area-code on the phone numbers now . & they called me this morning .
I asked for possibility of getting more free Gov. grant money since I voted for Obama and they owed me a free O-phone with promises of erasing my Fed.student lone also  . She laughed at me and said " get in line ".

This number keeps calling me and I answered at first then I was frozen when asked for bank account hung up and didn't answer again. Now That I know this is just a Spam imma have them get rid of that information and never have them call me again ever! I'm not taking fake online stuff like money ever again I hate it and I don't want them to call me again EEVVEEEER I learned my lesson "To never trust spams like free gifting again"

They called back I answered there was noise in the background the guy answered I asked who is this untio he answered he said he name was Peter and blah blah blah then asked if I ordered something I said NO with a very stern and annoyed voice he hung up thankQ Lin and Almost fooled

My brother got scammed today by this number and now has to cancel his account. . Don't fall for this grant scam .
