This lady KEEPS calling me!! I blocked her already.... But now she just calls from this #!! She hangs up every single time & refuses to say what it's even regarding. It's gotten beyond annoying, as she calls multiple times a day. I know it's a scam but... How can I stop her from calling when I block her & she just switches her #?! How can one stop this frustrating, annoying, & rude lady from calling constantly?! If anyone knows how to stop this, please let me know. As it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Jah bless!!

I had a Danielle Brown call stating she's from the US Grant  7 I have $7,000 grant issued to me...  needless to say they somehow reached my work line, which by the way, I work for a TV Broadcasting Company & informed the caller  that "we do stories nearly every day on scams like this...  so lets here what you have to say"   - she then said I needed to write down a id number... I said the only number I'm taking is her supervisors number.  She said no you have to take the other number then I'll give you the supervisors information...  I said - no - I don't work that way....she promptly hung up on me.

Caller by the name of Peter Spencer, stated that I had been selected to receive a Grant from the united states government in the amount of 9000.00, all I would l have to do is call this number 202 697-9510 back to confirm the grant amount and he gave me a ID confirmation  number. folks please DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM........

I received that same kind of phone call today from an oriental lady with a heavy accent.  I could hear in the background similar calls going on.  She said the same thing, that I had been given a US Government grant because I had no criminal background and was a good citizen.  She then said my money would be deposited in my back account or credit card.  I told her that I would not give her my account numbers.  She then told me that I could get the money from my local western union, that I just had to call 202-697-9510 and give a confirmation number.  I am not calling that number.  She did warm me that the number might be busy as there were others getting the same grant money.

They give u a number to call and a confermation #    .   For them to release  money. Was it a man and a woman?

My call was by a woman as well. Also for a 10 thousand dollar grant. Wanted my bank account number to transfer money. As if.

Lady called me, said I won a $10,000 grant based off a survey and my phone number was selected. She said she had info about me, which they got from my phone number. I told her it wasn't possible to get that information from a phone number. Gave me three options to accept money. Credit card, bank account or western union. Then gave me a fony number im sure and a confirmation number.

I received a call from this number moments ago. It was a recorded message saying "This is the Internal Revenue Service calling. It is important you or your attorney call back to discuss this. If we do not hear from you, a lien will be placed on your personal belongings".

I just posted moments ago that someone called me from this number stating they were with the IRS. It was an automated call. I just called the number and some man answered with a very heavy accent and I could not understand what he even said. When I asked him to repeat, he hung up.

Received a call from this number.  It left a message that the IRS was starting legal action against me and urged me to call back on the same number -- 202-697-9032.  Others in my neighborhood have received similar calls.  Through the neighborhood list-serve, folks have been alerted that the IRS would only contact a person directly through the mail.

I keep an old smoke detector near the phone for these types calls.  Putting the handset near the phone on speaker works pretty good too.  Only takes one or two times for them to take you off their list.

I just saying im recieving a grant of 9200 dollars from the federal reser

I got a call yesterday giving me a id number and that im recieving a grant for 9200 dollars from the federal reserve bank. And i can receive it one of three ways so i chose western union. So then they told me to call another number saying that i can get it at seven eleven but first i have to pay 200 dollars to seven eleven for a federal reserve card then ten minutes later i will recieve 5000 and then another 4400 hundred cause they're reimbursing me my 200 also.i said ok to humor them.let me guess this is a scam huh?

Called and left a recorded message saying an arrest warrant was placed on me based on a deferred payment on my social security number.

Scammers have been using this number for a long time it seems....

These knuckleheaded scammers don't have a clue how the real SSA works and they are hoping you don't either.
The SSA  doesn't suspend your ssn, file law suits, freeze accounts related to your SSN or issue Arrest Warrants.


The current scheme is they say your SSN is involved with a rental car found in southern Texas, with blood & drugs. Next theres some address they say was raided and discovered several bank accounts used for laundering money under your SSN, so they have to freeze your bank accounts and issue you a new SSN, but you have to secure your accounts by getting some gift cards ......pretty bizare "off-the-wall" story, its so hard not to laugh at them.

• Only a scammer would leave a message telling you "someone" is using your SSN for criminal activities, then try to say your in trouble for something you didn't do!
• Only a scammer would say "legal enforcement actions".
• Only a scammer is going to call you and demand you pay them over the phone to avoid an Arrest Warrant that doesn't really exist. You would first have to go to Court and disobey a Court Order to get an Arrest Warrant issued. If an Arrest Warrant was issued,  a Sheriff would suddenly show up at your door to serve it, they don't warn you they are coming and they don't put it on hold until you decide what to do.
• Your SSN can't be canceled, revoked or suspended because it is a number assigned to your birth name for Identification purposes, only scammers say it can. It IS your Identity as much as your name is.
• New SSN must be applied for with a misuse report on the old one and its FREE.
• Only a scammer asks you to pay using Gift Cards.

They called me saying there was a warrant out for my arrest for fraud. And I am 12 and don't know what they mean. I just sit around on my PC all day, I don't have the energy to try to commit fraud!

This  number called today twice...Robo call telling me there are actions filed on my social security number for fraudulent activities. To get more info about this case file and arrest warrant info from federal database they said to call back. Obviously NOT doing that!
