Called March 5, 2014 at 10:42 pm.  I have turned off my answering machine and I never answer the phone if I don't know who is calling. I live in the Portland, Oregon area.

I am sick of my phone ringing and this number showing up-

I have received several calls this week from this number.  All I get on voice mail is "We may call back later." CLICK.

keep calling my cell.  recording says it's a political survey call and that they may call again later.  so annoying.  where did they even get my cell number from?

Receiving unwanted calls from this unknown number.

+1 202-769-0477 on caller ID. Automated asking if I was registered to vote. Then said they may call back later. Getting calls one or two times the last 4 days.

I just got a call from this number concerning whether or not I believed in for profit schools, and should they be subjected to government regulations-- a supposed political survey.  However, the survey only wanted yes or no answered on an issue which certainly cannot be reduced to a handful of trite questions.  I do not know what idiots design such.  Proprietary schools, colleges and universities involve broader issues than can be reduced to five or six simplistic questions.  However, whomever is designing these surveys has a very limited understanding of these things, anyway-- or so I can surmise.  Also, apparently, this number does float around, and may be spoofed or used by any number of fools for some nefarious purpose.  However, such surveys really are a waste of time.

I AM A DEMOCRAT!!    why are these people asking me to help his campaign.  they called 2 times within 1/2 hour to give annoying poll.   I AM TIRED OF THEM HARASSING.

They keep calling and need to stop.

recorded call. left message. "Are you registered to vote?"  5 sec. pause. "This is a political survey. We may call back later."  Received at 5:07 pm central time. 5/22/14.

Oh B* SH* ...... do you think you're lecturing a bunch of looney toons?  If what was stated in the "news item" were true then the WG&L wouldn't be making these calls all over the country.  It OBVIOUSLY is a scam operation which may or may not have spoofed the number 1-202-769-0477.  The simple recourse is to just BLOCK the number. And you ignorant slimeball weasels that jump in to defend these perps go take a flying..........

received several phone calls from this number after viewing a site on dogs. I
owned one of these dogs and he was gentle and loving. It is all in what kind of person raises them.

I've been receiving several calls from this number for the past month, from David Dewhurst campaign in Texas to vote for him even though I live in Louisiana and this is a Louisiana number.

Got call from this but they did not leave a message.

I dunno. If they're spoofing numbers, then they're doing it wrong- by my understanding of spoofing, at least.

These guys keep using the same number, and it's labelled PollResearch13 on the CID. It's a professional polling company. Well, not 'professional' professional - they unprofessionally harass the public on behalf of their clients.

But if they were spoofing they'd be using the number of a different unsuspecting telephone customer each time to trick people about where the call was coming from & not CIDing themselves as a polling outfit.

Voice mail: "this is a political poll. We may call again."

Keeps calling and leaving messages that it's a political survey call.
