i got an email today from these same scammers regaurding a sale item i have on craigslist here is the email address they are using now jolie johnson [jjjoliejohnson@gmail.com] i really hate people that scam harworking honest people

i told them by wife works for a bank and it would take about 10 days for a certified check to clear and ask where they are from
they reply they would wait for the check to clear but not where they we're from
today i received an email saying they sent me a check for the $250 and there would be extra for me to wire to a person that i will be told whom later they have alot of nervse

I googled the phone number 206-339-5710 and found this thread about the phone number.  I have been trying to sell for a year a specilized piece of equipment that no one would buy without asking several questions about its hookup, specs, etc. I got the email below within two hours of a new posting on Craigslist - so I knew it was a scam concerning cashiers checks, etc.  I wish someone would get these guys.

Thanks for posting this!!  I just received an email regarding a listing I put on Craig's List too.  The email sounds very suspcious...very strange wording and use of English language...like it's from some foreigner who is speaking broken English.  Very suspicious on how they want me to give them info to make out a check, etc., and how they will send "their" shipper later on to pick up the merchandise.

my mom got an email from this guy that is interested in her wedding dress for sale i called and i called him numerous times and got no answer so i looked up the number and this is what he said in the email and he will only reply to my email he wont reply to any of the phone calls his email is going by "brown jake"this is what he says

i got this one too. his email was jakepammy001@gmail.com i was trying to sell something on craigslist. same one as jake m up there. scammer

I got the same message inresponse to my listing or a rental in Cambridge,MA. His name was David Green. He wanted the dimensions f the livingroom etc to arrange for furniture delivery. I just hope that there would be away to flag those ads and remove them.

Yeah i got an e-mail from a user named jjjoliejohnson@gmail.com. he gave me a different number though (248)918-2890. THanx 2 all the comments on this page i saved my self from being scammed from this person.

My communication was through email not telephone.

I posted for my apartment summer sublet, he pretended like he his company would send more than that amount, and then I would send him the difference.

Saw through it in like ten seconds. He was not even a decent English writer.

When I asked about his job, or where he was coming from, he said the UK.  

He went by the name Barr Ewen, which doesn't make sense, and his email was ewenjoseph@gmail.com.

I got the same letter today. Now he calls himself Andera Jolly, and uses a new phone number for a reference: 206-984-9302.  It makes no sense that he would send money up front and have to appear physically to do an application later.  Look at this email - same guy - same scam!!
