I got a similar email today, 10 minutes after I posted my car on Craigslist, from a Barry Johnson (barryjohnson337@gmail.com)

"i will appreciate more pictures..I am ready to
buy it now for my son as a surprise promise gift,And due to the nature
of my work,phone calls making and visiting of website are restricted
but i squeezed out time to check this advert and send you an email
regarding it.i would be glad to pay for it as soon as possible though
i will not be
available to come for an inspection due to my tight schedule.and to be
delivered before my arrival home. I work with SPDR S&P Oil & Gas
Exploration & Production ETF and we are presently offshore on a
project, So i won't be able to come and inspect it or call ,which is
why I contacted you with internet messaging facility.Kindly get back
to me with the following questions below:

1) What is the condition?
2) Are you the Owner?
3) Pick up Location?
4) Your PayPal Email ID to effect the payment
5) Your final price.

I would be glad to make the payment immediately through PayPal so
kindly get back to me with your PayPal ID. You need not to worry
yourself about title transfer and shipment,i will instruct the
shipping company to handle that therefore in order to complete the
transaction do get back to me with your PayPal ID and total cost so
that I can make the payment asap. I will
be waiting for your reply!

This is what I got today from barryjohnson337@gmail.com, defiantly a scam: (they even copy paste the same questions for me lol)

I am interested and okay with the price, my only option right now will be PayPal, I prefer to use PayPal for most online transactions, once i send the money to you, PayPal will notify you through email that the money has been sent to your account, you can have the money immediately through your Bank or Credit Card and get back to me with your PayPal email address and the final asking price so i can send the money to you.Kindly get back to me with the following questions below:

1) Are you the Owner?
2) Pick up Location?
3) Your PayPal Email ID to effect the payment
4)what is The final Price
5)your phone number

looking for accommodation and found he had a house for rent that is my friends place! I know this guy claiming to be the owner was not being honest. Whoever it is they are definitely a scammer. Be careful and safe people this person seems to change their name and email often, if indeed it is one person.

We have just got the same messages from Barry.
Can u tell me what happened next as we have sent our details before seeing all this??
