i got the same email from this guy. except he was gonna give me $150 for my stress in getting things done. glad i didnt fall for it.

I just got the same exact email from "Barry Johnson" the "welfare officer" on the ship... whatever that means...  with the above offer for $150 ..... the first email inquiry was from john patrick and the second from tony patrick to match the email address tony.patrick310@gmail....   All I have gotten are bogus responses like this ...  what can we do to stop these people??    They SUCK!!!   I feel bad for the people that got scammed...   I love google...

Phemmie Smith is another one. Glad I googled his email address. I was selling something on Craigslist (i only deal with local people and only except cash) and the first message with from the email address newglory.care7@gmail.com. I replied, then he replied and it was from a different email address....see below...

This "Barry Johnson" just emailed me on my car ad on Craigslist, so they are still at it. Thanks for the heads up!

Yes, thank God for f-ing Google.  My Spidey Sense was tingling as soon as I read his email, so I looked him up and this was the first link I clicked on.  I'm glad I did, too!  Here's my "Barry Johnson" email regarding a dead car in my driveway.  The first one replying to the CL ad came from the email address "autodee02@gmail.com."  I responded to him, and almost instantly I got a blank email from that address.  Then seconds later I got the following email from "autodee06@gmail.com."

I'm completely interested in buying it.I perfectly understand the present condition as started in the advert. I'm very busy with work as a welfare officer in the ship.I anticipate that I'll have a Bank Check issued out to you.I'm in no rush with you till funds are cleared in your  bank or anything. I received the EXACT same email from this Phemmie Smith.  DEFINITELY  a scam!!!

well i guess he/ they are still up to no good. i just got an email about my subwoofers i have for sale (im in florida)
he just sent: "do you still have it? im interested."
thats all he put. i did a google of the email address and found this site.
the email he used was: godpassdem006

Well ladies and gentlemen the culprit has struck again.  LOL As you can see he's using a new email and phone # but this fool can't get away from the Barie Bongo Crap.  LOL

Here is my ad and 1st email from him.  I'll keep you guys posted on what happens next.

Thanks everyone!  Saved me a lot of headaches.  I was foolish enough to give him my contact info and ddi recieve a check which my bank told me to not deposit because they would have shut my account down for depositing a fradulent check thinking I was the one trying to scam them.  I have also turned him into the authorities.  He is using  tonypatrick@gmail.com.  Check was from a legitimate business in Miami but my guess is they are unaware or part of it.

I got the below message from him so it appears he is still at it.

He emailed me about buying my Ford. He was interested in buying it and was going to send me a Bank check and he would wait for the funds to go into my account and all this other stuff.
When he sent me his number we got some Indian guy in Florida claiming that he was Barry Johnson, also he said that he was a Deputy Welfare Officer! So when I get his check in my mail I will be turning him in.
If it wasn't for my mother finding who he was I would have been scammed for the first time. The number he called me is 904-441-5797, he was going to get his lawyer after us because we wont sell our car to him. What a low life, just trying to ruin other peoples lifes

LOL this is so crazy thank God I look before I go on with this he just emailed me to wanting to buy my wheels and tires and wanted me to give him my info I said no we meet up and give me cash LOL dam people theses days
