- arrumaI was told that my windows system was infected by a virus. I asked if he meant Microsoft and after a pause he said windows. I have received this call a number of times previously and was prepared. After I told him I have my windows cleaned professionally once a month by a named brand cleaning service, he still tried to pitch me. I clicked a few numbers on my phone and stated this call was being tracked by the FBI, and he hung up, never to heard from again.

- mitchThe calls are coming from enterprise rent-a-car. If you have rented a car from them, they are selling your telephone number to spammers. Great way to treat your customers enterprise.

- MicroTech replies to MPHi Everyone,
Just want to mention that there are a number of Microtech's throughout the nation. I work for the MicroTech's that is located in Northern Virginia and I can tell you they are a reputable company and have nothing to do with these calls.
Apparently the name "TRIKON" comes up on the call display and they identify thmeselves as Microtech, but again this has nothing to do with us.
The following numbers are also part of the scam
480 984 1603
425 406 9010
253 236 2020 - Susan206-445-6544 keeps calling and never leave messages.
If you pick up the call nobody answers. Total scam!
Add the number to your block list. - Tired of this s...Caller ID says SOI. We are on the no call list but these low IQs call 3 to 5 times each day even on weekends.
- GPReceived a call with this number. It was from Atlanta GA city councilman telling us about a community meeting in our neighborhood. Great people he's associated himself with for telecalling

- Harry replies to GeorgeIf you see this number or similar numbers (like 208 099 9787), it's an IP phone POP (point of presence) for an Indian based call centre (might have misspelled that...I think there's a 'c' in 'con artists....?) that has several web portals (see below), all purporting to be international or regional employment agencies. Problem is, a check of local business registries and businesses operating at the addresses they claim on their websites reveal are no such businesses in operation at those addresses. Surprise. The one thing these agencies have in common is the above UK number.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from them.
Any business or employment info they 'sell' is freely available online using Google. What they do, regardless of what you buy, is rack up a monthly charge to your credit card for a 'personal job finding service' that you did not buy. They then call you to 'discuss your personal job hunt service' in the hope of either convincing you NOT to take it off your card, OR, record a set of answers to standard questions, which they then edit to appear to be authorising something.
When they realise people they've suckered in have worked out what the London number is, they start using pre-paid mobile numbers (obviously purchased by an accomplice in the various countries they try this scam...an Indian accomplice...and this is not being derogatory to Indians, this is just the plain fact of it) which then diverts to ANOTHER pre-paid mobile number that then diverts out of country or to a voice, ail service.
If you start receiving calls from mobile numbers immediately after you start receiving calls from the number above, don't answer them (good practice in any event to avoid other fraudsters or unwanted telemarketers) but try again a while later. They invariably divert to another mobile, and within a day or so are disconnected, as the carrier works out they're being used for unlawful purposes.

If you are unfortunate enough to let them get your credit card details, cancel the card immediately and report the caller's activity to the card provider. - Living in New ZealandDon't call me from Seattle to New Zealand.
- CherylI have received so many phone calls from this number and it is difficult to get to the phone number. When you do answer, they refuse to identify themselves, they do rambles over and over about nothing and a few crude words and they hang up on you, They are never discussing what they have called for in the first place. Unless they are calling to annoy then they a complete success. They never leave a message so you can call them back. This is ignoring, childish and illegal. I want someone to put an end to this ridiculous practice. If I want some one to curse at me I will listen to my cousin. This has been for forwarded to the MA AG's office
