- TiffI got this call 3 times in a row last night. When I finally answered, I heard "Hello, this is Amazon Customer Service, may I have your name please?" "NO," I said, "You called ME. Why are you calling at 11pm?" "*stutters* uh, sorry ma'am, uh..." and I hung up.
I called Amazon's LEGITIMATE customer svc number 1 (888) 280-4331 this morning to ask why their customer service would call me 3 times in a row at 11pm last night. Amazon rep assured me that this is NOT a legitimate customer service number for Amazon. He reviewed my account to be sure that there was no reason someone would be calling me, although he restates that that number is not connected to Amazon in any way. Amazon is sending me a link for them to be able to perform a deeper investigation on this scam number, due to the amount of calls and reports from others. If you have been called by this 206 number, I suggest you call the REAL Amazon right away to contribute to the investigation.
A reverse phone search confirms this. This is 100% SCAM, and if you fell for it, you should change your passwords and cancel your credit cards.- Caller: Fake Amazon
- FlAll I can say is that when I "clicked " on the call now button on the Amazon returns/replacement page I was called immediately and my issue was resolved by the rep. I got an immediate confirmation E-mail about my refund.
Perhaps there may be some who have been receiving bogus cold calls without initially contacting Amazon, but mine was legit.- Caller: Auto call from Amazon Cust. Serv.

- IMrj replies to Ashley| 2 repliesAfter reading these messages I realize this is an actual Amazon customer service number. I didn't answer cause I don't answer calls I don't recognize but after reading these comments and they mentioned Amazon customer service, it reminded me that Amazon customer service was suppose to call me back about a problem I was having, so it is legit, at least at this posting it is.
- FagenIt is Amazon Customer Service. I contacted them online to check on a shipment. Online I had the option to have them call me "Now" or "In 5 Minutes. They called me and this is the number that showed. Obviously, the spammers have spoofed their number. By the way, they did solve my problem and could not have been nicer.
- Caller: Amazon.com
- dasI refused the call, then looked the number up. Saw the entries here and tho I believe those who say this is a legit number, I have no current orders with Amazon so it may be a hack of some kind?
- Caller: don't know
- Amazon Customer| 1 replyJust wanted to put this up and let everyone know this number is legitimate for Amazon Customer Service, not sure what is going on for the people that say it isn't. I had an issue with a delivery and emailed customer service about it, and they were calling to discuss my options with me. They called about 15 minutes after I sent the email, and my issue was resolved right away upon speaking with me.

- DANDIWe have also received calls from this number, for which we totally ignore. The location is in Seattle Washington.
First of all the calls are coming to our dedicated fax machine, which has been a fax machine number for over 10 years. Secondly, our Philosophy is that when a number call in that we do not recognize, if we have not had any dealings with anyone at that number, we ignore and we block that number.
Finally, if one knows that you have not entered into any sweepstakes, contests, or business dealings, relatives, family members, co-workers, banking, credit card companies, the rule of thumb is not to answer or communicate. When one communicates or answers that phone, that confirms that you phone number is a valid phone number to them and the calls will continually come. If you let it go to your answering system, that eliminates your directly picking up the phone. In the event of the answering system, when you have a generic message on it rather than a personalized one with your name, that protects you from the scammer confirming that they have the person they want to scam. Never tell them to stop calling as they will only pass your number on to their cohorts so that they can begin a new scam.
When it comes to email scams as well, don't select the option of do not email me again, as this too allows the scammers to pass your email address on to their cohorts as well, and with your email address circulating in the universe, the email scams and annoyance will be never-ending.- Caller: CONSUMER ASSIST
- prindaI had called customer service but a week before inquiring about a refund and they said if I didn't get it back by Friday they were going to call if I didn't call them so I left this call ring through and they left a message and it was the same guy I had talked to and he wanted to know if I had received my refund yet so yes this is Amazon customer service it's just one of the numbers that they called from it's not a number you would call yourself
