This is legitimately a call from Amazon. They scheduled the call with me to check on a new kindle charger they sent me. I missed the first call and I googled to make sure it was Amazon. It was. When they called back I spoke with the guy from Amazon.

I, as much as anyone else, HATE telemarketers to the point that I purchased a call blocker.  I had several calls last night and was sorting through to see which ones were telemarketers and which one was from Amazon.  My husband sells back books to Amazon, had an issue with one particular book, and requested someone call.  It is a strange system, but that's how they do it there.  Not sure about the other people getting 22 calls a day, but just wanted to explain why someone might check on here if they knew it was a legit number.  It's because we get SO many and have to figure out which is which.  Hope that helps. :)

I was sorting through because we had one call back from Amazon and a few other unknowns (telemarketers/scammers I presume).  My husband sells back books to Amazon and when you have an issue with credit/whatever, you put in a request to have someone call you.  It doesn't show up as Amazon, but it is legit.

Yes, I would, because I asked for a call back from Amazon and they followed through using this number.  They have the best customer service anywhere!

I requested a call from Amazon via their website because of a shipment from a seller.  They called back IMMEDIATELY,  Unless someone is spoofing this number it is a legitimate number from Amazon.  Amazon has never called me unless I requested the call

At my home the only time I see that number in my phone log is when my wife call Amazon.com customer service. You can't dial in and talk to a rep, you leave a message and someone calls you back. This just happened a few minutes ago and it was a rep from amazon. They're sending us a replacement product for one that arrived damaged. Fair enough.

Some people claim its not Amazon calling, but, yes it is. However that does not mean that some other low life isn't spoofing the Amazon number and being an idiot. So in essence it could be both.

So if you call Amazon and they call back, most likely its a legitimate call if not then...

Received call from this # earlier today and since there was no ID showing, didn't answer.  I had spoken to Amazon earlier in the day and appeciate that this was probably a back-up call, but they really should show who they are is they are going to call back.

Amazon customer service, calling me this morning just as they promised to see if a reship of a bad product was received and acceptable.  They went beyond great to correct the mistake made (mostly) by the seller.

This was Amazon customer service calling me back. I was trying to use their automated Help Call system on their site, and it said it was experiencing problems.

It appears that my phone service provider - Time Warner Digital Phone - sometimes automatically blocks these calls from Amazon and sends them to my voicemail, which is not cool considering I do a LOT of business with Amazon and I WANT the customer service calls to come through.

This was a legitimate call from Amazon to me, at my request.

This is a call from Amazon,  you have to request them to call, they just dont call randomly.  Theyve got too many customers to be call ing someone just to prank them. BEST customer service EVER! And i beg to differ with anyone calling them names. If you didnt initiate the call well then they wont call you. Thanx!!

Caller ID reflects Amazon Customer Service
This is not an Amazon number
    Spoofed caller ID
All posts you see saying this is Amazon are posted by the spoofers
    Disinformation to confuse you

When Amazon calls, caller ID should show zeros if anything, this is a fact verified by Amazon themselves.

    It IS Amazon.com.

I was about ready to file a complaint with the National Do Not Call list [https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx] but said 'WTH' and called back and some dude answered "Amazon.com customer service".

He said that in order to get that call back I would've had to have entered my number on the Amazon.com website and requested a callback.

It's 23:15CST so it's late as ballz I know I didn't request this, but I did like a week ago and never got a call so I think their system is jacked.
