The caller, called us many times. used different phone numbers with  different area code.
The caller claims " He is John, tried to deliver Medical Alert we saw on TV. Today he used 209-676-3148
called us @17:14. Each time, John kept talking & would not let me talk. I returned the call right away. It asks me to  press   0 to speak the person. When I press 0. " Grasshopper transfer you call to 0, then just music.,

Received a call from 209-676-3148. I picked up the phone but no response.

I got a call from the scammer.

life alert scam. Caller ID says fia card services, which is the credit card id theft unit.  but its life alert scammers.

Did not answer but it appears to be what others are describing.

I live in Palm Desert and get this call almost everyday.  Saying they are ready to deliver my life alert.

caller called my mother twice
said we have your life alert package and it is ready to be shipped and it is prepaid
caller also said older people are at risk for falling,
when asked who ordered the item, caller hem-hawed said a doctor or hospital may have ordered and  we  really want to send it

Do not be fooled.  This is a recorded message that sets you up for a scam using the Life Alert name!!

Message left on my voicemail saying (beginning not recorded) ..." You have heard of the emergency medical alert system on television, the FTA System. Yours has been prepaid by you or another person, delivery prepaid, please press 1 to set delivery date or press 5 to cancel delivery."
PLEASE trace this scammer.
Such calls should be punishable by law for infringement of privacy, scamming, and whatever else in the book that can be thrown at these miscreants.

This # called me.  I didn't know FAI Card Svc so didn't  answer.  I live in Palm Springs CA area and the local TV station has been warning about this scam of life alert "stuff". Glad I check here for info.  Wish the Government or at least the phone companies could do something about these dirtbags.
They prey on unsuspecting folks.

Got this call a few moments ago. It didn't show up on my CID so I didn't answer.
As far as I can tell, the national do not call registry is of no use anymore. Get at least four calls a week where I used to get none.

Another day another scam from a list of stolen phone numbers sold by India IT "professionals" who are "safeguarding" your personal data at the expense of your job.  You voted for it and you continue to do so.

I picked up the phone bz/ I have a FIA Credit Card.  They said that someone had already ordered an emergency Alert system, and that it had been paid for.  All I had to do is give them my shipping info.

They called today looking for a delivery date for a medical alert system that they said was paid for and which I never ordered. The caller ID said FIA Card Services which is affiliated with the Bank of America as far as I can tell. The Do Not Call registry is an absolute joke. Nobody is willing to step up to stop this.

These turds called me three times today. I answered the last call and it's a recording of a man claiming that my Medic Alert System is paid for and on it's way to me, etc. Ok, so I pressed 1 to speak to a real person. After a bout of some incredibly asinine sounding piano music (not to mention that I hate piano music) a caller picks up. The caller was so loud and over modulated I had to hold the phone from me ear. The caller had a southern accent, and right away he wanted to know my name. I provided a fake name of course. I said to the caller, "So, I won a Medic Alert System." The caller said that was true. I let the idiot give a three minute sales pitch on this "wonderful, lifesaving medical device." What really bothers me is that the caller had my home address and phone number. He wanted me to validate the info but I said that wasn't my phone number nor my address. I told the caller he was a scammer and hung up on him.

This group simply will not give up, sounds like a group that used to call with a rip off of seniors and now has changed their calling number and Caller ID information. In the past week this I have received 3 calls, one reported above on 5/17, the others yesterday and today.
They ignore the Do-Not-Call list and violate Federal and California telemarketer rules. They should be fined out of existence!
