This caller claims to be ready to "activate" a medical alert system for me that someone else paid for.  He just keeps talking when you try to ask questions.  Even though "someone else" paid and he will not answer who that is, they want your credit card number anyway.  This is a scam.

This guy is calling everyday about a medical alert system and is intensely tring to get confidential information to supposedly ship it.  Scammer and beware!

 Some guy fills my answering machine.   I reported to local police and it stopped.  also call Atwater police.  most people do not report it. you must fill out a report.  and call police every time they call. Call Atwater, they may get tired of it and help.   find out who the guy is and  a friend in atwater will step on his nuts.   No he will have a higher voice.

CALL YOUR LOCAL POLICE AND FILL OUT REPORT.  IT works  also call Atwater police every time he calls.

They keep calling and calling, one day from one phone number(209-676-3148) With this code as the name (U72220541000004). States that they were referred by a doctor and that the unit was free.  Stated that the unit was the one seen on TV about the elderly lady that had fallen and could not get up, but it cost $400.00 with a $34.95 monthly technician fee.  I talked to someone who told me that her name was Jenny #7140.  When I asked for a phone number she told me to look up the 1-800 number.  She appeared to be reading from a script  every time  I tried to ask a question she would start reading something else.


Is there anyway to get my phone number out of these peoples hands?

Numerous call, cannot get them to quit calling. Keep saying I have a free medical device coming. Will not stop calling.
I pressed 5 as instructed to decline offer, I got another call one minute later, this time With another ID

Cannot get them to quit calling.

I get calls from 209-676-3148 daily.  Caller ID shows that it is from Atwater, CA.  Please note - the company calling from this number is trying to scam you.  

The Better Business Bureau says beware – these scammers are after your address.  DO NOT give out any personal or financial information over the phone or the Internet to people you do not know. This system of mailing you merchandise you did not order is part of cash on delivery or extended contract scams.

Below is the recorded message from this company.  

“Hi, uh, this is John from the shipping department of Emergency Medical Alert, I was calling to uh schedule a delivery of your medical alert system, it’s uh the “fallen, and I can’t get up” type of system you’ve seen on TV. Looks like the system’s been uh recommended by thousands of hospitals and medical professionals, uh, let’s see, says here that the system’s already been paid for. Looks like you’re getting the system because uh either yourself, a friend, a family member or maybe even someone you know has experienced a fall in the past so uh again it’s already been paid for so there’s no cost to your whatsoever. Also says here that the shipping has already been paid for so to uh schedule the delivery of your Emergency Medical Alert System press 1 uh again to uh have your system shipped out to you press 1 now…press 5 to decline the shipment of your system…."

We are continually being harassed by this number. It is a recording so can't tell them to stop calling. We are on the do not call list so why are they calling our number. It is a scam. How can I report them?

Same hear, calls all the time using both numbers.  I'm tired of it. He just leaves a message. I do no answer to calls I don't know the number.

"John" the Machine won't give up! Today: 7/24/13 at 9:28 AM here's that !@#$ number again. It's top # is: V72410281800019. On the same Landline. I Click Click every time. Unlisted & DNC means Zippo.

Same as everyone else  Calling every day, taped message, returned call  got a different person, probably taped because again I couldn't break in to her dialog.  Music first and then more of the same. How many complaints does it take to stop them?

An automated message from this number calls my phone EVERY day and leaves a message about a medical alert system that someone has given me as a gift and asks that I return the call to arrange installation.  It is not possible to return the call.  It is a nuisance to have to deal with this every single day.  Is there a way to get this stopped?

Same as with everyone else. Also on do not call registry, but he/they still getting through. Going to post about this on Facebook/Twitter, recommend everyone do the same. Maybe if we spam social media, we can stop this spam.

I have received calls from this same scam medic alert offer for months. "Hi this is John.............." Regardless of what I do the calls come in from different numbers. I have even tried to press the 1 to talk to a representative.

Got this call yesterday evening.  The guy was really pushy and insistent that someone in my family determined that I needed this Medical Alert equipment and paid for it to be sent to me.  I told him I am young and that would never happen so he has the wrong number.  He was relentless so I quickly told him that he was full of sh** and hung up!  I Googled the number and saw all of these postings.  I am concerned that the calls will continue to happen.  My local police department is well aware of these calls and told me to report to Do not call.Gov and FCC.Gov.

Repeated calls for 209-676-3148.  When I attempt to call back, it does not ring.  I am registered on the Do Not Call list.

The caller, called us many times. used different phone numbers with  different area code.

John is just a recording made to sound like a live caller.  You do not get to speak to an actual person unless you press "1" or some other number after being directed to.  You can report them to the Do Not Call list since the purpose of the call is to sell you the monitoring service with the lure of a "free" device.  Unfortunately it appears the people who investigate these things are having trouble getting to the scammers to shut them down.  If you do report the call, make sure you state the purpose of the call was to sell you a monitoring service for a medical alert device.

They call my house at all times of the day.
