Lifelike recording, must like the others here have reported; DNC registered, like it matters. Medicalert or some such thing. Caller ID spoofed to read "California" and the number 209-676-3148, again, as others have reported.

I had a call from that ass! He is taking advantage of people. Who does he think he is??? Well I have called the local police & will go further. My brother works for the CT State Attorney's Office in Major Crimes, I know this is not a major crime, but he has the ability to stop this stupid nonsense.

I'm telling you right now stop calling people or you will have the Government if not them than the State of CT Inspectors after you. I am a sister of one & I will make sure they go after you. You are an abuser & an are preying on people. I will get rid of you, guaranteed!!!

Have received at least two calls from this number. Caller ID says California. I usually let call screening take it and I have not had a message left by this number previously. So when I saw that there was a message being left I picked up and the voice said "This is John, I am calling from the shipping department of emergency medical service..." At which point I picked up the phone and said, "Stop right there and listen to me. Do not call this number again..." "John kept on talking, something about television, but I kept on talking too so I didn't really hear much of what "John" was saying.I said emphatically "Do not call this number again,  take it off your list, do not call this number again, take it off your list, do not call this number again," about twenty times and then I hung up and will let the call screening deal with any future calls. And I agree, best solution = just don't answer. I rarely do. Only did this time in case "John" turned out to be human. Don't think so.

We have been getting these phone calls every day and sometimes twice a day.  I have just sent entered an online complaint form to the FCC.  Everyone else should do this and we'll flood the FCC with enough complaints that maybe they will take action against these types of scammers.

Hangs up on my answering machine.

Received several calls, they leave message.  Trying to deliver Medical Alert System that is paid for and the shipping is already paid too.  I know this is a scam.

Ok: this idiot has called for the last 3 days/nights in a row. Supposedly it's that Medical Alert Bull, but today IT hung up. The top #'s were V7151149170019. How are these bozos allowed to bother us? Today: 7/15/13 at 10:49 AM on a Landline. UGH

Same call from same number. Scam - they clearly target older people.

Keep getting this annoying call from 209-676-3148............does anyone have a solution in getting them to stop?

Call on the ID,  showed CALIFORNIA - 209-676-3148 - when I answered - John came on and I first
thought it was a breathing body - but since "it" wouldn't let me talk and tell "it" I had not ordered this
medical alert - realized "it" was either a robot idiot - or just an idiot - to talk over anyone and force them
to listen to their message - which wasn't going to happen... Hung up on the nut - and decided to check
out the number,, and looks like they are an on going thing by all the comments... So,, just adding mine -
to the long list... Be good if there was a way to stop there people... High  tech has gone for - but, can't
come up with a way to put a stop to something as this..... Amazing...

Just had a call from this number and the recording played the spiel about the medical alert system. Caller ID said California and 209-676-3148.

It's 2:50 p.m. CST in Texas and the call just ended.

this number calls me twice a day - very annoying - I filed a complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry which of course will accomplish next to nothing - I am going into my ATT account to block the number.

Don't respond to these calls. They want to get your name and address in order to steal your identity.

this caller calls every day like clockwork. I answered and said to stop calling, he would not shut up and kept talking about a medical alert that has already been paid for. looks like this number is a problem, is anyone else experiencing this with Comcast service?

The caller, a recording machine, has been calling us every single day for the past month.
The caller claims " He is John, tried to deliver Medical Alert we saw on TV. Please STOP them for calling us.  Can't handle this anymore.

Same number called again. Its a shame when you cannot answer your own phone.

My caller ID says "California", I didn't realize it was a recording. I asked the patients name, nothing, I asked the purchasers name, ignored. I told him shipping address would be in ordering information or purchase would not have been processed. I'm 53, but on Medicare. I think the Medicare patients are being targeted? Could this be the common denominator? Anyone else?

SCAM!!!  My caller ID just said "California" with this number. Caller identified himself as "John" just like many others.  Tried to set up delivery of my medical alert system. LOL...No one in this house is "older". So tired of this crap. I'd end my landline, but they call on my cell, too. Grr. The "do not call registry" is a joke.
