    DirecTV??  Just called and cancelled the service yesterday & they are calling (3 times so far today) to get me back the very next day!?....Had to shut the guy down several times lastnight that I do not need or want the service even if it was free. I can no longer afford it since the "Affordable Healthcare" has gone into effect.

    According to this data, this is attempt to re-sign a former customer. I have left voice message for directv management but haven't heard back. I object to this solicitation and will be reporting to DNC. DirecTV shouldn't be avoiding these rules

    I had the same experience as every other commentor except first I had to fight with DirecTV about the amount of my prorated refund. Then they finally agreed that I was entitled to the amount I said, and they assured me that I would receive a check within 10 business days. I asked if the 10 day period would begin immediately or only after they received their equipment which they send packing materials for you to use to send it back to them. The said the 10-day period would begin immediately. The following week I received the packing materials and returned all of their equipment to them the following day.
    As far as my refund, I have one question ... Is it August yet?

    Called me three times on the same day that I cancelled my DirecTV service around 11am.  Called at 2:32pm, 5:11pm, and 7:47pm.  I answered hoping that by telling them I don't want their fantastic deal they will not call me daily to restart it.  Lady who called said she was an account manager who could give me the best deal to keep my service (she offered me the same price as the lady with customer service that I spoke to to disconnect my service so that was a lie).  She did make me feel that if I didn't make it perfectly clear that I still wanted my service cancelled that they wouldn't do it so that's not fun.  They want to re-hash all the reasons you already gave them for cancelling because these people are in a "different department" they don't have access to that information- really crappy way to run your business.  Definitely blocking the number and any future DirecTV numbers I find.
