This is a legitimate number from USAA

'Legitimate number' or not -I have NEVER done business with them, nor have I requested info from them or contacted them in any way.  Yet, they called me at 9:11 this morning.(No I didn't answer the phone so I don't know what their purpose was.0

This is a real USAA # but with all the spoofing software out its best to hang up and call the # back to be safe. I   got a call from this # and they leave a voicemail saying call 800-952-2429 << this # is fake. I also got called by 800-531-5192 in the same day. stay safe people!

I got called by a man claiming to represent USAA the last Sunday morning of April from # 210.531.8722. This person  wanted to sell Me insurance. He asked a lot of inappropriate questions which seemed very different per my usual dealings with USAA.  He began asking what I thought my clothes and personal possessions are worth and I told him to send a letter or contact Me via my USAA account as I was at Church! He said "this CAN'T wait til later, we need to do this NOW".  I then knew this was smelling fishy and hung up.  I was entering the church building.  Who calls on Sunday morning?
]I have a password protected account with USAA and if they need an update they either contact me through the e-mail account and/or postal mail.  If they're using free-lance telemarketers, I'm not talking to them! If this is a legitimate USAA phone number, do not call My cell phone to update insurance policies. Do not call me on a weekend unless I've called You.

USAA ("United Services Automobile Association") does not do telemarketing.  I have been a member of USAA for more than 40 years, and they have called me less than half-a-dozen times, and always about important matters (such as someone using my credit card number overseas, an accident claims adjuster, etc.)  If it is really them calling you, If they call you, you are either doing business with them in some way, or you may have been involved in an accident with one of their members.  They are extremely curteous and well-mannered in their interactions.  It is likely that hackers are using their number falsely, in caller ID spoofing.  It is too bad that the FCC is so powerless in controlling unwanted and illegal phone calls.  The do-not-call list is worthless.  I get 5 to 15 illegal calls a day, even though I have been on the list since it was started (and have re-registered a couple of times).  The call type in these reports should include "expected or needed call".

If this is a legitimate phone number, then why do they call several times a day and do not leave a voice mail?

USAA ... I WAS with them only for 6 months. They need to hire better/smarter people. And, no, they are NOT polite. Very, very rude people!

This is a number for an insurance agency that is rude and harrassing.  I have told them repeatedly not to call me.  Yet they continue to call.

I double checked USAA, and NONE of the are USAA phones.

It is a legit USAA number.  They don 't call unless you do business with them. Their membership is exclusive to military members and their dependents only.

This has to be another scam. USAA's main number is for the San Antonio area (512). I have done business with them for over 40 years and this doesn't fit the USAA profile.

I just got a call from this number in Texas and I have couple of USAA phone numbers since I'm a member and this isn't a USAA number at all.

Yes, it is USAA's Retirement Services.  They called me after I apparently was looking at retirement account options online.

I do not have accounts with them and just received a call from this number. Nor am I a military member and neither of my children are either. I didn't answer because I didn't know the number.

USAA - it is a legit call.  If you are not a member, they may be calling you due to any auto accidents you were involved with someone who is a policy holder.

I kept getting calls from this number on my cell phone. They were looking for Tanya Coker regarding a 2003 Dodge insurance policy. They left messages on voice mail. Been going on for a couple of months. Takes away minutes and fills up the voice mail. I called them today thinking I would help them out so they wouldn't be on a wild goose chase and also to get my number taken off their list. Got to talk to Brenda who started explaining why they might have called, maybe this Tanya person shares my phone and reasons why they might be calling. I REALLY COULD CARE LESS-- just take my friggen number out of your stupid system. This person was the most hard headed customer service person ever. I do not need anything explained to me because I DON'T CARE--just take my number out of the system. I finally screamed obscenities at her--maybe she'll quit and others won't be annoyed by her. If she is an example of the quality of service this company has to offer, I would look elsewhere other than the trash.

Scam.  They try to make it seem like they called you by mistake but it's a ruse to get you to call them back.  All of the above "they're legit" comments are so similar that I will assume they are planted.
