I can absolutely confirm that both 1-210-531-USAA (8722) and 1-800-531-USAA (8722) are legitimate USAA numbers and are identified on the company's web site. I am a USAA customer and have received legitimate calls from these numbers concerning my USAA insurance and banking accounts, most recently about an open insurance claim file. (Note: this form needs another option in the "Call Type" list: "Legitimate.")

I had a caller call and NOT identify themselves, asked for someone by name, who no longer lived at this number, wanting their insurance co. name and info., about an accident on such and such a date, giving a number to call back, which was 210-531-8722, ext. 423036.

The number is a legit USAA number ... got a voicemail from it from their claims group on it yesterday.  That's no guarantee that bad guys could not spoof it tho so even recognizeable numbers are not assured to be from whom you think they are.

I've been a member since 1968 when I got my driver's license.  I have NEVER had ANY problems with their service or ANY unwanted calls, and the representatives have NEVER been anything less than courteous.  I'm not saying it NO ONE there has never been rude, but I can assure you it was an aberration, and he/she was probably not there very long if you reported your experience.

Did you get her name and call USAA back to report it?  after more than 45 years as a member I've NEVER had a rude or incompetent person, and have never had ANY type of problem.  They have one of the MOST professional staff CONSISTENTLY.  I'm not saying that they never had a problem employee, but believe me tney wouldn't have kept one if they did it after more than a couple of complaints.  Seriously, I don't own stock or have any other reason to post this except to note USAA's CONSISTENTLY (with me and my family members and I have PLENTY) in over 45 years.  SERIOUSLY.

Received and email from what looks like USSA.  The phone numbers listed in it are accurate but it is a phising scam.  Phone numbers are 800-531-8722 and 210-531-8722.  The email and information that is requested is not something they would send i an email.  This email is similar to the phising scams using bank infromation (like Bank of America & Citi Bank).  Beware this is a scam!  Some info is accurate so you have confidence it is ligit when it is not.

I had a call to my private number at work.  They did not leave a message and I am not with USSA.  I am not shopping for insurance either.  This is a scam!  It is NOT a legit call.  They also called at 6:59 am.

I just turned 18  years old. I also live in Utah.  This  number  had no reason  to call me,  whatsoever. I wouldn't  suggest  answering from this  supposed USAA  number.

I also  don't even  have a  license or a  car.  Don't need  insurance in  Texas.

Likely to be a shill. It seems from previous posts that someone is spoofing this number for nefarious purposes. Any why would anyone look up a number on line if they get a legit phone call? I'd call this one: "Probable Shill"

They can't "spoof" a phone # just when it's ringing and then it suddenly shows their correct #. You either spoof CID or you don't.

I just got a voice mail from this number, they never said who they were and didn't give me a name. My car was hit by one of their clients we exchanged info, I called USAA and filed a claim I didn't hear back for several days and when I called and left a message along with my damage estimate I never got a call back so I filed with my own insurance they took care of me and when I was about ready to pick up my car USAA called me and left me a very terse message stating that this person wasn't a client and had no coverage with them so I filed under no insurance and am letting my insurance company handle it. Just got a voicemail asking what happend if I had any damage resulting from this accident??? Brother don't they talk to anyone within their organization. This accident happened in December of 2015 and they are just getting back to me now to close their file???? If this person wasn't a client then why was this claim still open?

Answered and it was USAA giving me updated information about my Hail Storm Claim. Yes, this was legit!!! USAA's main office is located in San Antonio, Texas, area code 210.
