This is a very legitimate number from USAA regarding an auto claim.  Of all calls you can receive, USAA is definitely right up there with legitimate callers.

This is USAA and it is a legitimate company and call.  There are definitely scammers and thieves out there.  USAA is a top rated company and definitely not a scam.

USAA's main number is not 512... That's Austin. USAA's main number or area code is 210 Nimrod. If you been calling a number with an area code of 512, you been greeked and you loved it. As you "say" you've been with them for 40 years... Ya right.

Said they were from USAA, needing information regarding a claim.  Since USAA is closed on weekends this has to be someone spoofing the number.

This is a service number from USAA.   The agent is calling to assist you in a matter that has come to their attention.  For example, in a car accident, USAA reviews the file and may contact several people to let them know they are beneficiaries, among other things.

The number is reputable to the USAA billing department.
Scammers and criminals are spoofing  this number to harass the public and peddle their scams.
USAA needs to take these criminals to court.

This number calls me MULTIPLE times each week back to back! They never leave a message either. I just don't answer it anymore because they were very rude when I decided to finally answer a couple months ago. They've already called me 4 times this morning and it's not even 10 am yet

Left a msg on my cell phone. Called back, and got USAA insurance company.  This is a legitimate USAA call-in number.  Normally, when you call this number, you'll be asked for your USAA PIN [assuming you are a USAA client], and then have to input a 5-digit phone extension number for the person you want to talk with.

NOTE: this number will also get USAA's reps who are working from home [telecommuting].

we are trying to get a claim processed from a massage client who has insurance with them. we have not been paid. when we call, we get a guy from India with an exztremely heavy accident telling us we can win $100 for whatever and wanted all of our personal info that had nothing to do wiith our cient or claim. wecalled this number.

This is indeed a real number for USAA insurance. While there was no caller ID, when I answered the call I spoke to an agent about a current question I had about my insurance policy. Of course this does not rule out someone spoofing the number at other times.

I got a call from a USAA representative (my plan) regarding an accident I had gotten into last week.  This was an expected call from a legitimate caller (NOT spam).

Scam!!! Called the actual USAA number that we have instead of returning this man’s call. We have no claims like he said. They told us to disregard this message. I’m blocking it.

Got a call at my business and told them I wasn't interested as I assumed  they wanted to sell me credit services and I hung up.  Man called back to tell me someone tried to get credit in my name. I told him NO it was fraud, my credit is locked

This is not just an insurance co.  It is a bank.  This number is from a loan officer.....

I have blocked this # on my phone and they still manage to leave voice mail. I refuse to call back, they keep saying it's about an accident I've been in (no accidents here). I think it's a scam after looking at all the issues here. Will continue to block and consider a scam or nuisance call.
