I got this call, and so many other unwanted calls. I eventually had to BUY a call blocker and have it attached to my home phone. So far I have blocked 74 calls..... even after I registered my phone with the Do Not Call Registry!!!

Just received it too, this is yet another "Cold Call" to be entered into my 'PhoneTray' list to be blocked!

caller id had number but no message left.

Caller ID said "Robert Purdy."  When I answered, the recording said something like: "We have been trying to reach you regarding your credit card.  To lower your interest rate press 1."  I did, knowing it was BS since I have no credit cards.  A man with a heavy accent answered and said something I couldn't understand.  I said "I need to speak with Robert Purdy."  The man said "He's dead."  I asked "Do his next of kin know you are still using his number?"  He hung up.

Just received a call from this number, said it was to lower my credit card rate. Told him I don't have a credit card, he responded "yes you do" so after asking for further information he hung up on me. Annoying scammer.

Caller ID said Robert Purdy - credit card scam . . . . . again.  Should have known better.  sigh . . . . .

They kept calling over and over about credit card offer. I asked to remove my number and they say no. Can only do so if I accept an offer. WTH? I reported to do not call list and have blocked them.

I received a call from this number and this guy from out of the country calls me darling, says they are from visa or MasterCard for a lower rate, then later tried saying he was from BMW. He proceeded to ask me what I've cream I liked. He told me some bogus name is who he was calling for, and refused to escalated to a supervisor. SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!

I got a call from this number about lowering credit card interest. Same message, but I stayed on the line. A very rude man with a Middle Eastern accent (Indian?) told me he had permission to call (despite being on the do not call list) because he got my credit information from Experian. I told him I was going to report him to the FL attorney general which I did. Called again today and I didn't answer.

Called on my mobile just as I entered the house. I rejected the call. After reading the messages above, I can see why these people need to be stopped. I have more blocked calls on my phone than contacts! This stuff is crazy!

If your name is on the Do Not Call Registry, I heard you can sue every single company who called you at 1k a pop.

It's either a telemarketer (claiming it's from your credit card company which it is NOT) or a phishing call trying to con you into given them your credit card info to rip you off.  The number and PURDY, ROBERT listing is caller ID spoofing.  They can make it say anything they want so you might pick up.  Since caller ID spoofing used - it's a scammer looking to steal your credit info.
