Called today, I did not answer. Left a message about credit rates.

Got A call about lowering interest rates it's all BS

Just called my cell. No msg. Blocking this number now.

Just recd a call from 212-465-9832, caller ID only said Newe York, NY. I don't answer any calls I don't know. Left NO message. Checked white pages and there are 3 people listed by the last name of Spears, (all over 65 yrs) one by name of Purdy. Address listed as well. Spammers!!

You can't rely on searching info such as this. These illegal callers spoof numbers to make it hard for the FCC & FTC to trace them down! That is why one should not call back numbers also, it creates more victims to the criminal behavior.

Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. For tracfone & straight talk:

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code  “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.

212 area code=NYC - it's no surprise that it is an unwanted, annoying, waste of time phone call. Added to AUTO REJECT list.

they called my dad's phone at around 10:30 am and i picked it up for him to mess with the telemarketer on the other end. robot claimed to be from "my credit card company." pressed 1 to speak to an operator and was connected immediately. i didn't hear what the guy said at first, but i decided to jokingly say "frankie's pizzeria and morgue! you kill 'em, we chill 'em and we put 'em in the sauce!" operator asked something unintelligible and i asked him "would you like to order anything today?" the operator proceeded to say that he wanted to lick my boobs. i hung up out of pure terror at how that backfired.

Called on cell... no message

Called to try to get info so they could lower my credit card rate on Visa, Discover Card, or Master Card. Mind you he sounded like her was from India.  Nothing but a scam.  Once I told them I dont have any credit cards and asked why I was recieving this call, his punk ass hung up on me.  When I called the number back It says "welcome to Verizon, the mailbox of the subscriber is full".

Got a call from this number. Did not answer. They left no message. I own no credit cards so I know this is a scam. Will be blocking number

Called twice at 11:11 today. Didn't answer guess call twice thought I'd think it was a serious call. Left no messages

This New York # has called me so far 3 times today 10:07am, 10:56am, and 12:20pm. I never answer calls from #s I don't know because I have fallen victim to one of these scams before.
I learned my lesson & now look for threads like this before I do anything! Auto reject now!!

Just like 'George' above, I got the recorded message on my cell that said "This is your credit card company and we've been trying to reach you about lowering your interest rate. Push 1 to speak with a consultant or press 2 and your offer will expire".
I pressed 2 assuming this would put me on their do-not-call list, instead it connected me with a man with an Indian sounding accent.  I told him to take me off their list immediately and he said "whoa, slow down, who do you think you are?, you're not my father and can't talk to me like that".   To which I replied that they had already called me once and I had asked to be taken off their list and this was the second time and to immediately remove me from their list or I'll report them.  He said "I don't care about your list and there's nothing you can do about it."  I hung up on him.

I get a call almost every day from [***] like this, blocked...

Got a call on my mobile phone. Did not answer. Added them to my auto-reject list.

Credit Card Scam

Said credit card processing center calling to help me lower my credit card interest rate - I DO NOT HAVE A CREDIT CARD11

Called.  Left VM with nothing in it.
