The call was automated, soliciting a limited-time-offer to reduce interest rates. The ID claimed 'Robert Purdy' was calling. Since this individual can't be tracked, I'll be reporting the service provider to the authorities. If the provider doesn't like it, tough !$#@. They are providing a smoke-screen, enabling their customer to break the law and get away with it. Both parties need to be prosecuted.

Someone on another thread called that number back and it turns out that it is an innocent party whose number is being spoofed.

You might want to really read the stuff at the last link.

If I register my number, will ALL unwanted calls stop?
No, the Do Not Call Registry prohibits sales calls. You still may receive political calls, charitable calls, debt collection calls, informational calls, and telephone survey calls.

In addition, companies may still call if you’ve recently done business with the company, or if you’ve given the company written permission to call you. However, if you ask a company not to call you again, it must honor your request. Record the date of your request.

The caller just called at 10:32am on my cell phone.  I did not answer and no messages were left.  I am already on the do not call list and not sure why this call still goes through if it's telemarketer or junk calls since this caller number is not recognized.

You might try using this web site in the way it's meant: read through some of the posts before you post your own message. You'll learn a lot about calls coming from the number. Rule #1: Don't answer unknown numbers (if it's important they will leave a message.) Rule #2: Never call back to an unknown number.

You are an idiot for suggesting this website is a waste.  YOU are the waste, obviously a desperate cockroach that makes a LOW-CLASS min. wage living by harassing people at all times of day and night!  Are you really that stupid?  Here's the thing:  If you were THE ONLY telemarketer, or even 2-3 per year calling, you might have a point.  Problem is, the are times when, as you can see some people (including myself before I started blocking) get dozens of calls, sometimes in middle of night of early AM because I travel, a YOU [***] do not know which timezone I am in, or you don't care!  Bottom line is YOU SUCK, and nobody but a complete MORON would buy anything from you!  Lastly, 99.99% of telemarketers a SCAMS, Con-artists, CRIMINALS, or almost as often collection agencies that are STUPID enough to buy outdated collections lists!  They bother attack wrong people endlessly for debts that have nothing to do with us!  If you do not personally know the person you are calling, or have LEGITIMATE business with them (as in I CALLED YOU FIRST) then F-OFF, make a website, buy advertising like a REAL BUSINESS!  Otherwise, when a drone shows up at your office in some Zimbabwean slum, don't be shocked when you are toasted!  You activity is no doubt criminal, and I hope you pay for it from CIA, FBI, or some other law enforcement!  SO get out of this website if you don't like us tracking you, get a real job!  The amount of my time and money wasted over years of this crap, along with the hell of email spam for decades, people like you should be hanged in public.

This number left a message for me.  I didn't get who they were with but they were offering to lower my credit card rate.  I don't even know if it was from a company that I have a credit card with or if they were trying to get me to open a new credit card with a lower rate.  I just blocked them because it wasn't something I was interested in.
