No message - robo call today

Credit scam

The call started as an automated message - press 1 to lower your credit card cost and press 2 to be removed from the list.  I pressed 2 and nothing happened.  Shortly someone came on the line.  I asked him to remove my phone number from his list and he said "Why should I do so?".  I told him I was on the do not call list and he needed to remove my phone number from his list.  He then replied "I'm not going to do so", and I hung up.

Damn, he changed his name already!  Caller ID states Robert Purdy, or as we refer to him Robert '[***]' Purdy.

Blocked number.

Cell phone call. No message. So I blocked it.

Caller ID said Stanley C Spears this time.  Blocked.

Scammer.  Called with no message left.

I've been getting calls, from a total of four separate numbers that say the samething about lower rates on my credit or debit card. I don't even own a card of any kind, nor any checks. I just carry cash, so I know that this is false and they are trying to steal your information. I can't lower rates on a card that doesn't exist!!!

Received a call,  decided to press 1 (as past 7 attempts to block/remove didn't work).  Rep came on,  I asked to be removed from this scam list... Verbatim, (not kidding here) he stated "if you think this is a scam I will not remove you from our list for the rest of your life."  I stated the number was previously reported and after 2 mins of conversation he finally "removed"  me.   I'll post back when I get the next call...  Just be aware selecting the automated option to remove your number does in fact NOT work!

Received a call on my cell phone, but no message was left. If this is in regards to a credit card, then it is clearly a scam because I don't have a credit card and I have never had one or applied for one.

Did not answer. Too busy. They left no message. If I do feel I have time, I will give a fake name and fake numbers. Then I will also give my updated phone number for the local police station. I figure they will want to turn themselves in at that point. LOL

The name on the caller ID said Robert Purdy.  I pressed #1.   It was a telemarketer offering VISA and lower rates.  After a few minutes talking the young man got foul mouthed.  I asked to speak to a supervisor.  He refused to get his supervisor and continued his offensive words then ended the call.

Called me this morning. I'm away in the west coast, so it was quite early here, I have a nj #. Well I picked up and pressed 1 and cursed that pos out. Made me feel better. Told him to stop scamming people.

Lower your credit card rate (appears to be a scam).

Received call.  Didn't answer.  No message left.

Called my cell phone.  No message left. Will now block.
