- JZCaller ID said "Fed Res Bank N " Female with difficult to understand Indian accent (Had to keep asking her to repeat), claiming to be from Microsoft and she stated one of my email addresses to "assure me" that she was from Microsoft)...asking if I had downloaded windows 10 and if I had been receiving error messages. I said that I don't answer questions from strangers on the phone. Her response to me: "I am not asking you any questions". She continued to talk. I couldn't understand her and I told her so. Her annoyed response to me: "You are saying that on purpose".
I said "you're right, my purpose is to inform you that I cannot understand what you are saying". I hung up and blocked that phone number.- Caller: Claimed to be Microsoft- Was Not.
- CharlesI was called by 212-720-6130 several times. I did not answer. I called the Federal Trade Commission at 1-877-382-4357 to file a complaint. The FTC gave me a complaint number and advised me to go to www.donotcall.gov to register with the National Do Not Call Registry. So now the FTC has the number on file, maybe they will look into it if they get enough complaints.
- antiphishingHave had multiple calls from 212-720-6130. We listed to the last one just to see why the heck someone with a Federal Reserve Bank of New York phone number would be calling us. They claim to be Microsoft and tell you that your computer is infected with a worm. They try to have you give them remote access to your computer - don't! They wouldn't give me an email address or a call back phone number. We reported this to Microsoft. Of course, the number is now blocked.
- Caller: they claimed to be Microsoft
- JimThese people call two to three times per day. They are becoming very aggressive and shout over the phone when they get frustrated with me ( I keep asking to talk to someone who is in charge).
- another callerSaid they were from Windows support and that I had to get the hackers off of my windows computer. I dont have a windows computer. Heavy Indian accent. When I redial the number it's the Federal Reserve. What a complex scam.
- Caller: windows support

- Ed replies to NateGreat response! Better than swearing and getting angry. I wonder how many people remember the Commodore 64, Basic, DOS and AOL?
- IdahoGalWoman with Indian accent claims to be from Windows support about error emails from my home PC..... I've had several of theses calls w/different numbers. It's a scam they want to remote access your computer..... I told her I knew what it was to get BENT and I would report the number.

- Dave| 1 replyWhat I did is when he called I told him to call back at a certain time on the next day. So when he called back, I said " Oh, yes sir, I've been waiting for your call. Then said, please hold on while I get to my computer" Then, holding my phone away from my face, but close enough to hear, I sort of whispered " Hey Ed, this is our guy I'm going to keep him on the line as long as I can. Get the cell tower location and a trace, and if he's in the India location, tell them to get their helicopter in the air. If it's in our location we're watching, get the entry team going. Oh and tell the guys that because of the terrorist activity, shoot first and ask questions later" ... I never heard from him again. Bet it scared the hell out of them too.
- Caller: NY Reserve bank/ Microsoft
- RavenmanMr Windows will keep calling me with same message. Windows computer has a high alert problem. I asked what one as I have 4 on my desk. Please give me the Key number or serial number of the one talking to you without my permission. I asked him his name and company name so I could sue for unauthorized commutations with a private computer. He stated he works for Windows. Asked him if the company name was Anderson? this went on for 20+ minutes. He finally hung up. A friend fell for this and they locked out his computer and now want 200 dollars to give him the password. It is a scam. Numbers keep changing. Deleted the other numbers. Sorry.

- Valiant1000Received a call from them Heavy Indian accent. Claimed to be associated with Microsoft and was going to show me how to correct errors associated with my windows program. I hung up and called Microsoft help desk. Talk the agent and she investigated the story and the phone number and got back to me with confirmation that this is not a Microsoft related call and that it is obviously a scam. The phone number is for the Federal Reserve of NY. However, I was unable to talk someone at the Feds too let them know that their phone number is associated with this scam and gave up after several attempts to reach a live person to tell. Just not certain how these scammers can use the Federal Reserve of New York phone number.

- MottWhy isn't microsoft and Bill Gates doing something about the misrepresentation of his company. Try using a bootleg copy of Microsoft, they'll track you down and put you in jail. - BCG replies to MaryI have blocked this number numerous times. Some how it becomes unblocked and they have access to call me again. They also have been changing the number they call from by a digit or two (which I go in and block also). I have asked repeatedly that they not contact me again because I do not even own a computer. They argue with me that I do. Nope...I am pretty sure I do not!
