- Kellie| 1 replyThey've been calling me for almost 7 months, even though I've blocked the number. They claim to be from Microsoft saying my computer was sending out viruses. Funny, because at the time I didn't have a computer. The guy screamed at me, calling me a liar & said I would go to jail for spreading maliciousness in the computer world.
Recently got a call saying they would come to my house for me if I didn't cooperate... - RoxThis number called and said they were from Windows. They claimed I had a high alert issue on my computer and that it was about to crash. I asked how they knew this and he/she (couldn't tell because of the heavy accent) that my computer sends data to Windows. I asked them what I had to do to get this miraculous help (cause I knew they were full of it) and they said they would walk me through the solution. I then asked how much this help would cost and they said nothing. I then told them I was not comfortable and would need to be sent some information on this issue via snail mail. They immediately hung up. There goes that help I desperately needed, ha!
- Caller: Claiming to be Windows
- Rox replies to KellieOMG! The computer police is coming to get your ahahaha! Most absurd thing I've heard all day. I am literally LOLing right now.
- BrianHeavy Indian accent. Claimed to be from Microsoft and my computer was sending out error messages that had been detected by Microsoft. I needed to download a file to correct the problem. I played with them a bit and then hung up after using a few words mom wouldn't be proud of me using.
Odd thing was he called on my cell phone and knew my first name. - MargieWilhelm called and he told me that my windows has a high number of alerts and errors. He offered to walk me through deleting the errors. I asked if he was with Microsoft and he said no, Windows. I said I didn't have my computer with me right now, was there a number I could call him back at? He gave me a number: 800-616-2415 ext 8004. I hung up. They called 3 more times, said nothing and hung up.

- Roger TupperSome one keeps calling me from212-720-6130. Third time yesterday (12-15-2015). The first time they called, I answered and asked, "ok, who the hell is calling me from a 212 area code"?, as I know no one in New York City: what's more I live outside of Ft. Worth Tx.
There was no response, I asked again: "who? nothing. I asked several more times and got the same thing. Finally I just hung up. Yet again, they have called two more times after the first.- Caller: no response

- DFDec. 16, 2015. ~ 2:15 pm. Just got another, annoying call from 212-720-6130. In the past month or so, I've been getting calls from that #, maybe once or twice a week. The 1st couple of times, I answered, but only heard a hanging up. I wondered how a scamming caller could be benefiting from that, unless it's just to confirm that my # is "in service", so that they could then target it for other devious purposes. On the 3rd call, I just answered with an unintelligeable "grunt", & then heard the "hanging up" again. Since then, I just don't bother answering those calls at all, but, getting those calls is really irritating! We should bring back "public hangings" & then "string up" a bunch of these [***] to make all the wretched, scamming [***] think twice about "preying" on people.
- Kay replies to NateThis is hilarious - they have called me no fewer than 6 times this week. I love your tactics - I just spit coffee through my nose reading your post.
- Fed Up| 1 replyThese guys call 2-3 times a week. They are spoofing the Federal Reserve Bank's number. I have emailed the bank and they are aware of this scam. If enough people call/email the bank, maybe the "feds" will get involved. In the meantime take as much of their time by pretending to go along with their "plan."
Whisper to the fake police officer that they "can start the trace now." Or ask the person if their mother knows they are stealing from people. Usually it is someone from India, so tell them they are going to come back as a worm in their next life hehehe.
