If you dial *67 then the number, it blocks your caller info.  Great way to mess with them and not let them get your info.

I gave them a fake name and 5 random digit "zip code"  Amazingly enough they still had an affidavit and warrant for me!  How great they found my case so quickly without much identifying info.

I feel badly for the people who fall for this and similiar scams.  Unfortunate it works often enough to be worth their trouble.

No, the officer came to hug her for complying!  A congratulations of sorts.

That doesn't always work though. Neither does "having some fun" and is also dangerous to do!

Harassment call supposedly from IRS Department of Treasury. He said his name was David Smith (with an Indian accent) and that there was a case file against me and that I was going to get arrested.

I receive these calls every day and I am tired as is everybody else of these low life scammers!  My question to you is after I dial *67 and the number how do you save or delete

you bring up great points and I have asked the moderator to remove the post.

I guess y didn't read my post or Havesomefuns reply to me! That *67 does not always work.

I got the same call. I called back 213-289-3855. Rest assured, I will get my attorney, on retainer, involved.

I'm responding in regards to a voicemail
I received stating that I needed to call back immediately.... When I called back the (202) xxx-xxxx number; there was no response. I am very, very frustrated with this matter. I have not read any else's post so I hope I am venting my frustrations in the correct forum. I just saw a post below with political connotations. This has nothing to do with politics. I'm writing this because I'm disturbed I'm being hacked and am unfamiliar with the telephone numbers that called me.

These people said they were from the IRS and that I was under investigation because I owed money.  I got money back this year and I know the IRS wouldn't call so I told whoever sounded like they were from India or somewhere like that to go ahead and sign that arrest warrant and don't call me again.  I blocked the number.  They call 72 times a day.  It's ridiculous.

Just got a call answered the phone and said "It's your quarter talk to me Goose" They hung fight up on me. I guess they just don't want to talk to me that bad.

Just got a call from this number as well 213-289-3855 with a recording talking about a criminal case and i needed to call them back. Funniest thing too was at the end of the recording it says, " and if you ignore us all i can do is wish you good luck" Lol...scammers

Going to have some fun with them. I'm curious. Will give them fake bank acct info and going to sound desperate to pay the fee so i don't go to jail lol.

I have received at least 10 of these calls. When I call them back one of two things happen. 1) they either hang up when I tell them that I know they are not the IRS or 2) they start swearing at me, then they hang up. I called the IRS to let them know what is happening. They told me that the IRS NEVER CALLS REQUESTING MONEY!!!! So the idiot that payed them either is lying or in on the scam!!!! To bad there is nothing that can be done about them!

I received a call from this phone number stating that I have a warrant out for my arrest due to taxes that are due from 2010, 2012 and 2014. They said they were the IRS. His name is John Mason(he is Asian or some other ethnic decent). He told me a police officer would be by in 30-40 minutes. His badge number is IRM2022.I am to retain an attorney. Very threatening automated call first. I called back and reached John Mason(wink wink)
