We received the same call this morning twice with a recorded message from Steve Martin.  Hopefully they get these [***].

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

Received (2) calls, one left on voice message, to return call immediately to 213-293-3920 to avoid further criminal action!  Was a male with heavy indian accent.  Actual incoming call was from 215-734-0229 which is a number out of PA.  2nd call I answered and once they picked up at their end, I advised them they had reached my city police department and you guessed it, the line went dead.  

I received two phone messages from "Steve Martin" who has a thick Indian accent. Something to do with treshory (I think that means treasury).

The message is obviously phoney. I hope the real authorities catch these evil scumbags.

Received a call from 2132933920 a man with a heavy accent left a message about a federal crime.  it's a scam.

I got the same call and let it go to voicemail. we should report this to someone. Also received the IRS one a few weeks ago. Just ignoring.

I also received a message on my voice mail in broken English with misused words and terms in a heavy Indian accent threatening that if I didn't respond to the call, the Treasury Department would take action and I would be put in front of a grand jury and I would be charged with a felony??? My name was not used in the message and when I tried the number back, there was no pick up or answering machine so I am going to assume this was some ploy to get information out of me if I had been home to answer the phone. Rather unnerving at first. I'm dying to know what the end game is for these kinds of calls.

SCAM FOR SURE.  The IRS or Treasury notifies you by Certified mail if you owe taxes----, not some Indian accented guy threatening you with an arrest.

Just got call half hour ago, steve left message u.s treasury, I'm indicted on grand jury, etc......same as above calls. He just called back, I answered, noone there. I said I know you are a fraud, I'm on dns list, dont call back. The caller I.d. stated Backbone Communications?

He hit my landline at home 3 times today!! Oddly enough the number he was calling from did not show up on my phone's caller ID screen. His call scared me out of my wits because we do owe back taxes to the tune of about 1,200.00 which is nothing worth getting arrested over. After reading all your replies to this wack job calling us I feel SOOOO RELIEVED!!! Now how do we get this s.o.b. to stop calling and scaring everyone half out of their minds??? (same guy, indian accent, threatened federal charges, blah blah blah).

I also received two calls just now, 2 or 3 minutes apart, said his name was Steve Mo------ couldn't understand last name, hard to understand,  I did not pick up, his message basically like everyone's message, IRS, court, jail, magistrate, grand jury, etc,etc....however, the caller id said 215 734 0222 and for me to call him back at 213 293 3920....sounds like they have quite a few numbers...

A heavy Indian accent called twice this morning, I have a caller ID in my phone pick up the number 215-734-0222, it was 1:07 pm and I wasn’t home to answer this idiotic person. He called using this number who belongs to a legal group out of Virginia State. This idiotic Indian said that blah blah blah, and at the end he said to call him at 213-293-3920. I called back this number and  it belongs to someone using one of those numbers from Magic Jack or other computer free phone service providers no one answer this stupid number. My suggestion to everybody is to don’t answer these fools, record the messages, and report it to the real FBI people at The FBI Cyber Division they lead the national effort to investigate high-tech crimes, including cyber-based terrorism, espionage, computer intrusions, and major cyber fraud.

Received a call from someone with a heavy accent today.  Claimed he needed to discuss an enforcement action with the US Treasury department.  Could barely understand him.  Clearly, a scam in the making.  

I got a voicemail message left on my landline from this number.  In his Indian accent the man said his name was Steve Martin and that this was a serious matter with the US Treasury and a criminal offense, and to call back.  I had a good idea this was a scam.   But I was intrigued and wanted to call back and see what he said.  Funny thing, the call does not go through.

Me too!  I knew it was a scam.  But feel bad for those that don't.

I tried the *67 call back as well and it didn't go through.  Then I just tried dialing it without blocking and it still doesn't go through.  Whatever!  What a scum bag!

Received two calls, one right after the other, leaving the same message and threats as before.  Same Indian or Middle Eastern accent.  Used the "Steve Modern" name.  I'll be reporting this to the Treasury Inspector General and the FTC as suggested.
