Received a call on 8/15/17. Caller i.d. said Telefund Inc. Now that I know I will NOT send any more donations to a political party.

Update 2017. I get calls from them 4 times a week. They now call any time of the day.

Telefund Inc. calls every day. Sometimes twice. I dont answer. Just let the phone ring and it hangs up!

How many times will you allow them to call before you obtain a call blocker?

called today and yesterday, too.... trips the voice mail, but no message is left... one or two seconds of silence!

I've never answered this call, but the weird thing is i don't easily hand out my number either. My rule of thumb is if they don't leave a proper voice mail, they're not worth my time. I tend to evaluate unknown numbers and block them accordingly if it's a solicitation. Looking at the comments, I haven't donated to any political figures that would cause me to be listed. So maybe someone either wrote their number wrong or used my number like some bridge troll. Anyway, I just put them on my "denied" list since these calls keep happening when i'm either at work or trying to sleep. So hopefully auto rejecting their calls gives them the hint that they're barking up the wrong tree and won't get a response of any kind.

Received a call from this number on 9/15/2017.  They identified themselves as being from Telefund, Incorporated.  The caller was soliciting donations on the behalf of the Sierra Club.  They wanted a monthly contribution if I provided a debit or credit card.  I said no!  These people are very persistent in getting you to contribute.

Since it is not the actual charity calling, they are required by law to stop calling you when told to do so.  Most likely you will have to send them a certified, return receipt letter to that effect.  After that you can sue them for $500 or more per call if they keep bothering you.

it won't help getting on the do not call list. I'm on it and still get the calls.

As this is apparently a charity calling, the DNC doesn't apply to them. It's for telemarketers. And if this caller is a scammer, they certainly don't care about the DNC. Try a call blocker.
