The Do Not Call list doesn't mean anything to a Robo-Call.  A computer is automatic dialing every number possible then giving you their msg. The Do Not Call program works only for legit businesses. Criminals will never follow the law.

Gloria you are seriously mis-informed. The simple act of joining the donotcall.gov list guarantees you'll get more calls. Why? Because the list of people who subscribe is what gets distributed to the telemarketers notifying them that you don't want to be called. So if they didn't have your number before they do after you join. It's like telling a child: "Here's where the cookies are, but don't touch them."

I figured all this out AFTER I signed up.

No, donotcall.gov does NOT work. I've registered yearly, all our numbers and still, the calls continue. I've reported numbers that are repeated callers and still, the calls continue. So, next best thing, don't answer unless you know the number. If they leave a msg (most likely they won't) decide if you want to do business with them. If not, google the number, then enter it in your blocked numbers list with your service provider. Scammers, what an annoyance!!

There's half your freaking issue-you NEVER have to re-register! Plus, scammers don't give a CRAP about laws!

Do not call list only works for organizations that are legitimate and following the letter of the law.  Unfortunately. scammers do not play with in the rules.  So, it does nothing for them. In many cases, the  Caller ID's are spoofed anyway!

Signing up for the donotcall list doesnt mean you get calls - they dont need that list to get your #, but it also doesn't mean they wont call you.

They said i had won a cruise under some environmental group and that is when I hung up the phone. I would not answer this call.  Ten minutes later I hung up the phone again because the same pitch and voice were being used on another number !-323-872-0675.

got a call from this number.I never answer an unknown #, I come here and check it out.
Never push the # to remove your number.   They start calling alot.  I never did that again.
To the troll that is here, may you start getting calls day and night and may they never stop.

Just got a call from this number on my cell phone and Googled it as my phone was ringing because I didn't recognize the number (which just said "Los Angeles, CA on the caller ID name), and it brought me here.

Thanks to everyone who did answer their phones and who let us know this is yet another POS scammer!

It's always been my understanding that it's cheaper to get a list that is NOT cleansed, as in removing the DNC numbers, than it is to purchase the list that has the DNC numbers removed.  Therefore, they disobey their own rules for avoiding calls to people on the DNC list, buy the cheaper list that includes all the numbers, including yours and mine that are on the DNC list, and fire away, hoping we don't catch them.
I could certainly understand how the DNC is overwhelmed with complaints.
