- Not HappyCalled my office 5 times yesterday and never once left a message. I have caller ID on my phone so I can see incoming calls. I was either on the phone when the call came through and sometimes I had stepped away from my desk. When I returned to my desk, my phone would show I had a missed call and the phone number of the missed called. I tried calling the number back only to get a busy signal. I looked up the phone and found this website where where it appears several people are getting the same call from the same phone number. I am going to report this to the FTC and BBB.
- Caller: none
- markThey called twice on 10-28. For the first call I did not pick up. For the second there was a pause and then a hang up. I thought they might be checking if this was a working number. 10-29 They called and I answered and they asked if I was a insurance producer or agent. I said no and they said they were sorry and hung up.
- shirlSaid bank card was cancelled due to 3 party trying to use it. wanted us to punch in our 16 digit card number to reactivate it. we hung up, but since then they keep calling us
- Caller: Vitelity, LLC
- drzfjz| 1 replyReceived a call from 214-377-5991 at 3:27 AM on 11/06/09. They stated that we needed to press "1" to reactivate our ATM card. My husband did not, but tried to call the number back and got a recording to leave a name and number. The name for the voice mail was Gloria DiMaggio.
I think I am going to let our local BBB know about this strange call.
Kenner, LA- Caller: Vitelity LLC
- Becky replies to drzfjzWe got a very similar call at 2:44 am on 11/6/09 from this number and we are also in Kenner, LA. So they must have been hitting all the numbers in the local directory in the early hours of the morning. (Oh, I was so mad to get a call like that waking me up at 2:44!!!). But on my call, there was a recording and said they were calling from "Jefferson Finance" and that my card had been stolen and press 1 to speak to their security department. I didn't press 1 and I went back to bed and then looked up this site this morning. I figured it was not real and it looks like I was right...

- Pamela replies to JBZ| 2 repliesOn 12/16/2009 I received a phone call from someone stating that it was a perosonal matter and that they needed to speak to me. Which I stated
in a message before. Anyway I've tracked down the phone company
its called Pac West Telecomm Inc. I left them and e-mail for complaints.
I feel if everyone would left and e-mail with their concening maybe
it could put a stop to the calls. - keithfemale caller who called and did not identify herself--an unwanted call-probably a scam
- frankCall actually came in from 214-377-5991 but is same scam as the 253-785-0194 ..."from gov't, I've been awarded $5000 grant...yada,yada, yada. 214-377-5991 was given as a callback number and was to ask for the Manager Roderick Davis with auth code WA331 and he would verify the offer is legit.
Very strong accent (India??), when asked questions not in his script he would mumble something then go back to repeating the same, I assume, scripted dialogue asking for my birth date and never answered the question...kept telling me how lucky I was and he just needed to verify my info to confirm I was the right person- Caller: none
- Nicknamethis is a theft/scammer call
- Caller: not identified
- MikeA.On Wednesday Jan 19,2010 i saw the number 214-377-5991 show on my cell screen. If a number comes up that i have no idea from where it's dialed from, this guy will not answer it. In this case a women with a strong accent left a message urging me to call. Her accent was so strong i had a hard time making out what she was saying.
Calling back after midnight from my blocked home phone, a women on a tape spoke in Spanish (Mexican accent for sure) saying to call back on working hours. Being a business man born in Brooklyn, and working the ways of NYC, you sense a scam just the tone. I will have a provider block it ASAP.- Call type: Telemarketer
- 1-214-377-5991| 1 replyThey called at 12:30 PM saying they were from a place that I had advertised along long time ago. They wanted to update their information. I hung up on them, and they just kept calling back, but I did not answer.

- mhbObviously a computer dialed called, because of the lag between pick-up and a voice on the other end. Daily repeated calls. Have told the person on the other end to not call this number again, numerous times, to no avail.
- professorI received a call at work from this number. The person wanted to "help" me with my credit card situation. I cut them off and hung up.

Same thing.
Creepy woman asking for multiple people in my department.
Won't reveal anything about the reason for her call. - GlennHSHangup call on my work number Friday Feb 12.
- Computer GuyI just had an interesting one today. Someone called me from an outside area code and pretended to be a computer technician saying that there is a problem with my computer. It was a thick foreign accent and they asked me to do a series of steps on the computer. I was in my car and knew it was a scam because of course I wouldn’t have someone call me.. they call me for computer help!!
I played along and for about 10 minutes he asked me to do things.. I pretended like I was in front of my computer and dragged it out for as long as I could.. figured I would waste their time. He then said he will transfer the call to a level two technician and to please hold on..about 20 seconds another man came on the phone and asked me to do some more complicated steps. He wanted me to go to a website and he was going to issue me a special link to remove the problems from my computer. He started to laugh as he gave me the directions as if I was a big sucker for getting this far. At that point, I think they heard something in the background that spooked them, like noise from my turn signal(?). He asked me if I was at my home. I told them I was a the office, and he yelled something in a foreign language to the other guy in the background and hung up.
I assume that the website these guys were going to take me to was a site where they could take over my computer and steal information.
