If they call your cell, as they did mine, just add them to your blocked call list. Guarantee they'll take your number off their list if it's a waste of time.

Some man called saying he was from a law firm looking to collect on an overdraft bank account from 7 years ago. He said there was a Federal Law Suit due to this small bill. He was very vague and said the name of the supposed law firm he works for so quick, I couldn't understand what he was saying. I have never received written documentation on this and honestly forgot about it because it was so many years ago. I think someone is phishing me for a scam!

ID showed a Dallas, TX location.  Was automated message advising that my Chase credit card had been deactivated - and instructed me to enter the CC number to reactivate.  Confirmed with Chase that it's a scam.

They called us also. Someone named Debbie Grant who sounded like the lady next door was trying to scam us big time to no avail. Little did she know we have 2 private investigators on our staff and this is now a police matter, as we are not letting this rest. I suggest anyone who gets a call from these folks do exactly as we plan to, then prosecute.

I received a call from American Business Listing today, she had my name and said my contract was expiring today and would like to know if I would like to renew.

She explained that her company was responsible for uploadng our business name on Google, Yahoo, and Bing on a daily basis.   If I renewed over the phone, she would give me an additional 6 months at $698.  When I told her I was not prepared to renew at the moment, she threatened to cancel the account immediately.  I told her I wanted to confirm with my manager before approving and asked her for her number so I could call her back.  She said she was leaving in 5 mins.  I asked her to call back in the morning.  Thank goodness for sights like this one.  Now I will not be taking her call tomorrow if she calls.

    They are very pushy.

Just got a call from "American business listing" said they post our info and the 3 major search engines. They asked if I want to renew or cancel our membership, said I definitely don't want to renew and they said "ok we will just send you an invoice from last year"
I said we definitely didn't sign up for it last year either and she quickly said goodbye after trying to tell me the doctor signed up for it... yeah the doctor doesn't take sales calls...
    SUCH A SCAM!

Did you give your name and verify your address?  I will not pay this bill but we recently ended our online webpage and I thought this was from that company.  I did not give any other information except for my name and address of our practice--which they already had on file.  Is this what everyone else did and then afterwards found out it was a scam??? SO MAD!

Received a call from American Business Listing asking if I was authorized to "cancel" a subscription with them.  If I wanted to cancel then they would send me an invoice for the past service.  They wanted me to say "ok" to sending me the invoice.  I said I could cancel any subscription but wanted to know who ordered the service and when.  I was passed to 3 or 4 people - 1/2 of them quite aggressive, the other 1/2 not so sure.  They stated that they had mailed a reminder letter for payment a few months ago, but wanted to close out over the phone.  I asked for their phone number so I could call them back after checking with our staff.  They insisted I complete the call with them.  After I hung up on them, they called back and got aggressive with our staff.  If you get a call asking you to confirm that a company can send you an invoice for services - HANG UP.  Don't say yes and then try to figure it out later.  Find a way to report them.

American Business Listing called our offices.  They insisted we say "yes" or "no" to their questions about cancelling a subscription we supposedly had authorized a year ago.  They passed us to a number of people on the phone who could not answer our questions. After we finally hung up on them, they called back and continued their aggressive questioning trying to get someone to cancel the subscription and agree to be invoiced for past services.  (We have no record of approving such services.)
