- WicGot two calls from them today, tried to call back the first time, no answer, second time they call I answer, Guy asking me if we accept visa card transactions. I say yeah we can run them through... he hangs up. Wish I would have already looked this number up here like I usually do. But I did follow through calling the National DO-NOT call list and filed a complaint, if anything further comes of this, Mississippi AG would love to go after them with charges.

- VanessaSo these [***] faces keep calling with their rudeness...asking for a business we dont have, and then hang up...so i looked up their company 214-440-0277 and it gives you a recording (business directory) it says to enter the last name of the person you are trying to reach...so I entered a random last name, and it put me thru to some lady, I said that your company keeps calling me and i want a number and name of someone so i can make it stop. she was confused, but I told her she better put me thru to someone in charge, or I was gonna keep calling her, and sue the hell out of them...she took my number and said she would try to find out what was going on....so lets see if the calls stop...I doubt it...but it felt good to vent, anyway.

- Heather WittmanI receieved a call from this number 214-440-0277.
I missed the call but since it was an unfamiliar number I decided to google the number first. I am glad I did.
I don't know HOW they got my number to start calling, but it is the second one of this likeliness. - Lisa BReported them to Do Not Call registry. 888-382-1222. They called and asked for the owner. I said she was unavailable. He said, "So she's not there?" I said, "She's unavailable." He said, "So she's there?" and I hung up. Then the idiot called back and said he's gotten disconnected. I asked who he was - he never said - and he asked about the owner again. I told him he was rude and never to call this number again. Will be watching my phone bill to be sure they don't try to say I said "yes" to anything.

- Marci SmithThe caller said they weren't trying to sell anything but were asking specific questions pertaining to my business. They were wanting to verify my address as well as wanting to know how much I bring in per month with credit card transactions. He explained that Mastercard and Visa rates have gone down because of the economy and that I could take advantage of the lower rates. He then said someone would deliver information by tomorrow, 3:00pm (June 29th, 2011). I gave them the run around, asking questions in return which I feel made the person uncomfortable to the point where he hung up quickly.

- AnnaThe only place that has my business's info is Sam's Club, recently I applied for the personal discover card credit that Sam's Club offers. My guess is that either Discover card or Sam's is giving our info to others. I have a legit business, but named it different when I got my card through Sam's Club, so they are the only ones with that business name. They just hung up when I asked what they were talking about.

- AndiI missed several calls on my cell from this #. When I finally answered the guy just said "where's the owner?" and I responded with "the owner of what" and he hung up. How the heck do they get people's cell #'s, esp one that is on the national do not call list??? So much for being on that list! :(

- McLovin71| 1 replyWow...they just called again!
This time, he could hear me. When he asked if I took MC or Visa, I told him that my pimp didn't allow me to take charge cards...only cash transactions. Why? Want a sit-n-spin or something?"
He hung up! I doubt I'll hear from him again. lmao- Caller: Apex

- EricThey called me this morning. I can tell a telemarketer by the delay when I answer. Normally I will bang the phone on my desk then repeatedly yell HELLO until they respond. When they do respond I let loose with a string of nasty words then tell them to take me off their calling list. I don't know if they do but it's good anger management for me.

- Tammy| 1 replyIn the past just saying the words "We are part of a corporation with everything we need all set up would do it". SO instead I gave them a complete fictitious name. Good luck trying to collect!!
Oh, and by the way, there is no such thing as a do not call registry. They try, whoever they are, but it simply is not effective. Not only that, do you trust these said people not to sell your number? Really?? So this is the crap we are going to have to deal with from now on.....- Caller: 214-440-0277

Our office is on the National Do-Not-Call list so this was an illegal phone call.- Caller: APEX MERCHANT
- Adam replies to TammyActually as you can tell by the link...
https://www.donotcall.gov/
the National Do-Not-Call Registry is a GOVERNMENT program to stop unwanted phonecalls. It IS illegal to call those who are on this list and violation reports can also be made on that website. Any lagit organization selling products such as telemarketers who call random people are REQUIRED to first check the registry before making the phone calls.
And to suggest that the government uses this registry to make extra money by contradicting the whole reason for it is just ridiculous. Whole MOST advertisers have fake ways of being removed from their list, the National Do-Not-Call Registry is the only one that actually works.
People/Companies like this Apex Merchant call using call-forwarding through fake numbers so they cannot receive calls back and it is much harder to trace back to them. - NoPhonieThey called and only said "Um, sorry, wrong numbah"...
Attempts to call back are not answered.- Caller: Apex Merchant

- ticked-offReceived a call from this number Aug 30, 2011 ...
Caller ID said "Apex Merchant" ... I did not answer and no message was left.
What good is a "Do Not Call List" if anyone and everyone can ignore it?
There seems to be a huge increase over the past year with these types of calls.
How can we prosecute these people who ignore the laws? I'm sick and tired of it.- Caller: Apex Merchant
