Call made 6 /29/2009 @ 12:19 PM.  Caller ID Merchant Svc, 214-624-5721. Answering machine recorded only one heavy exhale.  Maybe this one is ready to give up.

When the telemarketers realize that only the lonely answer their calls, the volume will drop.

merchant services scammers - call 2 or 3 times per day every day, repeatedly ask to be taken off of their calling list to no avail.

Called this afternoon by someone who hadn't mastered the English language.  He mumbled something which sounded like "Is this the owner of the cone?"  I told him I couldn't understand him and asked him to repeat himself twice, then he hung up.  Since the text on the Caller ID only said "TEXAS" I'm assuming this is a spoofed number.

What does the message say when the say it on the answering machine?

Received a call on my cellphone from this number.When I asked who was calling,they hung up.I dialed *67 then the number and got a recorded voice stating that "this mailbox is full." When this happens,press the # key and that will enable you to leave a message in the "general" voice mail. I certainly did!

I thought this number looked familiar when I was called today.  This time, I got someone who spoke much clearer.  He asked if I was the owner of Angels Knit Club, which was a knitting group my mother formerly belonged to.  (For some reason, my phone number got attached to it instead of my mother's.)  I told the caller I didn't have a home business, so he said goodbye and hung up.

called 3 more times today, asked again to be taken off their call list and to be put on their "DO NOT CALL LIST", advised that I have already requested them to stop calling us several times over the past three months.

they've called three more times so far today - and it isn't even noon yet, each time asked to be taken off calling list and reminded them that I have been asking them to take us off their calling list for the past 90 days.

I don't care what the FTC says - this is just plain harassment and they need to make anti-spoofing laws so they can put these jerks away.

this is absolutely ridiculous - called again @ 3:55 PM, once again asked them to stop calling us, informed them that this was the 8th time today they've called, they said that those other calls were someone else, i informed them that they strangely are somehow calling from the same phone number as those other guys.

Calls numerous times, never leaves message.  I do not answer their calls.

Never call this number again

Google "suing telemarketers". It's easy and could put some cash in your pocket - THEIR cash, up to $500 per call they make to you in violation. If enough of us take the time to do this, we could take down most of these scumbags.

this Biotch asked for the owner.  When told I could take a message she stated that she'd just call back tomorrow.  I said there would be no need as I'd ask the same question before putting a call through.  She said she this call was for the owner, I said do you even know the owners name?  stammer studder umm oh aaa  so I said WHO ARE YOU - she said she was the owners merchant account, so I asked and who might that be.  APEX she said.  That is NOT the merchant service the company I work for uses.  She said she'd call back tomorrow and injected some other snide nasty remarks - another caller I won't have to answer.

Purchase an inexpensive FAX machine and install it on your incoming line.  The instructions will tell you how to manually activate the FAX machine which will start the long s-c-r-e-a-c-h-i-n-g of an incoming FAX.  Very annoying and very helpful in stopping annoying calls.

Calls seem endless,these idiots are continually calling,even after I blocked them, The last time they asked for an owner or manager,I told him they were all dead, and that I was a serial killer and asked him WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?----They still call

I just received a phone call from this number. There was a man singing Michael Jackson's "you are not alone" really loud and obnoxiously when i answered. I said "HELLO?" and he goes "HELLOOOO??" so i asked what he needed and he BURPED before he began to ask me for the Owner. I told him he was not here, he rudely asked "WELL WHEN WILL HE BE THERE?"... i told him he's always in and out of meetings and he said he'd try back later. I hung up. What a great way to ruin my Friday. Someone HAS to stop these people. I placed our business on the do not call registry and we still get atleast 10 calls a day!

They have called twice over the last week.  If I din't recognize the number, I don't answer; transfer them to voice mail.  Oddly enough, they don't leave a message!  Coinsidering gettin an air horn, and next time answer it with that.  Maybe then they'll stop calling?

11-6-09. Repeat pest caller that does not leave a message on the answering machine and hangs up on me.  I see the advice in other posts.  So it is TIME TO CHANGE THE LAWS.  I received thousands of unwanted calls per year, multiple times per day.  I am on the do not call list.  Not one caller EVER has called with something I want. I have the Internet for shopping. TIME TO OUTLAW TELEMARKETING as it presently operates with loophole after loophole. I receive THOUSANDS of calls per year. I only spreadshet about one in five and have only been listing them for about six months.
