When I'm not busy, I let them go on and on.  Then when they're about to close the sale, I hang up.

I did that just now and the guy called back.  I just picked up the phone and laid it down on the desk.  When I went back to it, it was dead air.  Excellent.  Now they're wasting more of their time and more of their money.

With discouragement like that, maybe that guy will quit the job.  Or maybe the company will lose money.

I'm not sure who calls from this number but they are really rude! The man was super smart after I told him the person he was looking for was not here. Oh how I would like for him to call back again so I can schedule a meeting to rip him a new one.

This number calls a few times a week asking for the owner of the company, I have ask them very nicely to stop calling, I also told them that they are calling my cell phone number and that I'm on the Do Not Call list and to remove me from their list, they always just hanp up and a few days later they are calling again, what can I do?

They should be shut down. I keep getting calls from them. They don't answer.

Caller I.D. says MERCHANT SVC.  Called my business at 7:15 a.m.  Rude and is already on my JERK LIST. I print my spreadsheet and put by the phone so I know not to answer.  I answered this one to see why they were calling at that time. This list is just good for griping but does no good.  Write your federal legislators.  It is time to OUTLAW TELEMARKETING.  Do not Call list does not work.  I get about ten telemarketing calls every day.

Very persistent, they call 3-4 times a day if you don't talk to them once.
Ask for the owner every time they call

talk to them and tell them to send out the rep your interested then when the rep shows up beat him with the phone and explain why he just got his a$$ beat ...........

I have the same problem. Now, how can we stop these guys calling? Does anyone know? They try to scam people , get their money and that's pretty much that they do. Don't be a victim. DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY INFORMATION.  ANY CALLS, JUST REMEMBER NOT TO GIVE OUT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION.

What I can't figure out is why they think my residential phone number is a business? I don't even own a business and have not for at least 8 years! Even back then, this was not a business address or business phone located here.

It's too bad this is the only kind of work some people can get.
