I keep getting calls from this number.  If it goes to vm no message is left.  If I answer the phone, they hang up.

They called me on my house number, which is under my husband's name. It doesn't have his full name, just J Hogan. They called and said, "Mrs. Hogan?" Then started calling me Joyce, saying I owe TID money for a bill at a house over in the the worst part of town. I don't even drive over there if I don't have to. I asked him who he thought he was talking to, he said Joyce again. I told him my name, that there was no Joyce here. He then said he'd take me off the list and I was never called again. I was surprised that the calls stopped, because I was expecting a call back within an hour with the same BS. In the newspaper yesterday, there was an article about people calling, trying to scam money saying they are from TID. Glad my name isn't Joyce.

They have been bugging me for 3.5 years now. I got a cell phone before going to India on a trip. Long story made short: The phone did not work, so I refused to pay when I got home. Verizon then charged me with "customer negligence", whatever that means. I wrote several long letters to the company about it, and spoke (politely at first, then with increasing anger and indignation as the years wore on) with innumerable customer service reps and then collection agencies about it. No result - they will pursue me to the grave, and perhaps beyond (yes, rumor has it they are in touch with the "Other Side", so you cannot escape collection even by shuffling off this mortal coil).

And I thought BOA was bad....

With that documentation, you have probably got grounds for a lawsuit.  Consult with a good consumer attorney in your area (try the bar association for your state, NOT an internet search) and find out what recourse you have.   Keep records of their calls, and they may wind up owing you money!

My mother keeps getting call from this number, as many a 10 calls a day.  Nobody ever answers when she picks up, and she's getting very frustrated.
