No one here prevent that number from calling you again.  You, however, have the ability to prevent them from calling.  if your phone carrier offers call blocking, you can use that option.  If they don't, you have other options...  If it is a cellular phone, get a call blocking app.  If it is a land line, you could invest in a call blocking device.

There is a legitimate place called "Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation." But they are in Saratoga Springs, NY, not Cape Coral, FL. I'm sure they do good work. I wonder if they even know about these phone calls. Here's their info if you want to contact them.

Constant, annoying calls.  Do not answer any call I do not recognize, so I'm getting fed up with their stupidity in not figuring out who doesn't answer their  need for greed calls.  Words like market research, survey, free, security, ahd the "this is not a call for any donation or purchase should be removed from dictionaries and all speech.

This is truthful.  Do you have a problem with the word truth?  You don't need a genius IQ to recognize just why these groups are calling.  Maybe YOU need more education on them, but I don't.  I've been through it too many times.  They are ALL glaringly obvious.  The lesson is, if you don't recognize the caller, research them before accepting their harassment.

They disturbed me 2x today, the phone rang 1x each time and there was no message left either time. I dialed the number and received an answering machine and as other posters have said it's some sort of marketing firm. I left my phone number with instructions to remove my number from their call list because I don't do surveys and if they refuse, I will call again with another phone number - my attorney.

Nothing to do with medicare...we dont have it. So this is a scam

Have gotten calls from Thorougbred Research in the past.  I don't answer and they don't leave a message.

They call continuously, normally no message.

I will be reporting this to our Attorney Generals Office. The following calls came in: yesterday 5:24 pm, day before 5:20 pm, 12:05 pm Sunday, Saturday was 5:37 pm, 2 calls, day before that 5:15 pm.  The caller claims to be calling me for a Medicare survey but is calling my mothers cell phone.  They were asked to call my phone and given the number. Instead they have repeatedly called moms phone asking for me.  We stopped answering the phone yesterday. I did receive a survey in the mail some time ago but am physically unable to do the written survey.  We have determined that this is either not really legitimate or the people are to lacking in intelligence to actually do an accurate survey.  The calls sound like they are from a foreign call center.

Received a follow-up call from this Thoroughbred Research Group via Medicaid on 6-7-2015. Not only are their paper surveys annoying and highly intrusive, when I answered the phone at 11: 19 am on a Sunday (I had no idea government offices were open over the weekend), they asked for me by name and then spewed off their "Why we're calling," and who they were with and said they sent me two surveys neither of which were returned, I immediately told the lady on the other end, "NOT interested!" and hung up before she could finish her rehearsed lines.

I received two paper surveys one month ago, one yellow reminder card (that I put return to sender on) and another survey two weeks before that with a very generic form letter attached. I put the surveys and reminder straight to the paper shredder.

Medicaid doesn't need to 'randomly' select me to fill out their survey and pry into my personal/ private life. I highly suspect there's no such thing as being 'randomly selected' either. Since I'm in excellent health I don't feel there's a need to waste my time with them.

And why is it when they claim on their surveys it is 'voluntarily' turns out to be something very harassing and dang near 'mandatory' is beyond me. I guess its another way they waste paper and tax payer's dollars. Therefore, I just ignore any all surveys from Medicaid and won't answer the phone when they call.

I strongly recommend not giving out any personal information to this Thoroughbred Research Group. I doubt they desperately need all medicaid recipients input nationwide. It sounds to me to be just another way to phish for personal/ private information or at least to keep tabs on a medicaid recipient. I wish they'd just knock it off with their absurd surveys and annoying follow-up calls.

I forward calls, such as this one, to dial a prayer.  Yes it is still around  (at least in Chicago).  Otherwise dial a porn?! LOL!

They call and mail constantly trying to get info they can sell to everyone that is employing them, which is multiple.

So far theyve called three times in about a week. Once on a saturday, and just now at 11:30pm.

This is a legitimate call from Thoroughbred Research. They are contracted by Medicaid in some states to conduct patient satisfaction surveys. I received their paper survey in the mail and didn't fill it out. I got the reminder card and went ahead and filled out the survey and sent it in.  The survey doesn't ask for any health information. All of the questions are rather benign along the lines of "Have you had a physical in the last year?" "How many times have you seen your primary care provider in the last 6 months?" "How happy were you with the care you received?" Things of that nature. They don't ask for any specific information (what medications do you take, what did you see your doctor for, etc).

They called me this afternoon and I politely told them that I mailed their survey and did not wish to provide any more information. They thanked me and indicated they would not call me again. If they do, I'll come back and update this. You guys threatening to file stuff with the Attorney General's Office are ridiculous.  It's a phone call.  If you don't want to answer it, don't answer it or use the feature every phone company in the country offers that allows you to block numbers.

I get a lot of calls from unknown numbers and this site has been an invaluable resource for figuring out who called me and also a great source of entertainment reading how bent out of shape people get over phone calls.

Everyone has an opinion about what is invasive and abusive call tactics used by research firms that include auto dialers, missed calls and failure to identify the caller and true callers intent. Thank you for the info. I've never answered because I didn't know who they were, or what they wanted. I thought it was probably a telemarketer too. No one in our house uses medicare.
