The same people contacted me but used the # 240-778-1955. They called four people who are related to me & left nasty msg. In those msg thay laughed & said "Good Luck". They seem to enjoy tormenting people & their families. I was scared about the 3 felonys they said I was being brought up on until I did some research about them. I got the same credit card release form emailed to me. Told me I had till 8am to send the money. Well they didn't get a penny & they won't get a penny from me. I'm glad I had someone who knew how to research this stuff! Be careful & protect yourselves from scammers like this!

My mother got a call from WCCI in regards to a bill that I had already settled two and a half years ago. The lady is Jennifer Goodwin and is asking for payment to go through MoneyGram at Walmart.  A few months ago it was the same folks saying it was a hospital bill in which I have no hospital bills.  The number calling from is 202-684-2191

They also have a new number, 218-206-4496. Weinberg Cockran and Irwin is who they claim to be with, they went as far as having someone call saying they was the prosecuting attorney. I called the prosecuing attorney and they had nothing on me, also called the State attorney general and the BBB and reported them. I was told it was a scam. Travis Sullivan is the guy who called with the allegations, stated i owed $$$ for a cash advance.

This company is using illegal recovery tactics under the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act! They've done it to me as well. The only way to stop them is to notify the FTC (ftc.gov), FCC (they are using the telephone to make harassing calls), and your State's Attorney General. Tell these people your story and we can make sure that the so-called W.C.C.I. Group can NEVER do this to anyone ever again. It's up to us now.

P.S. It's obvious that they keep changing numbers and locations to avoid prosecution so provide all of the information that you possibly can.

The actual call came from their ' new agent' Morgan Smith( so watch for her name too) she was rude but had some info on me i felt threatened but gave one reference. she was going to send me to walmart to use the Blue and White form, because it is the only one FDIC insured but she wouldnt tell me any info until i was there. it is a scam plz dont give any real info and tell your friends too. w.c.c.igroup@gmail.com is the only reference from the "proverbs group" to. You will feel bad and scared plz ignore them, call non-emergency police dept. let them know and dont worry they get ur info from phishing, the docket section from news paper ect. other names to watch for MICHEAL FINCH, MORGAN SMITH. THE LAW GROUP, WCCI GROUP. THE PROVERBS GROUP. FRAUD AND WORTHLESS CHECK DIVISION. TELL UR FRIENDS TOO PLZ. and remember 'govern yourself accordingly'

I got a call two days ago at 11am from a Jennifer Goodwin 202-684-2191 stating that I was going to be prosecuted if I didn't pay 1200 hundred by 1 pm. After pleading with her (because I was scared) she said She didn't care if went to jail, however because I seem like a nice person she' ll allow me to make two separate payments within two weeks, also she wanted two of my references phone numbers!. I asked her if she could send me some info and she stated that "she couldnt give me anything until I made payment and that she is being nice to even call me at all! So I should send the money asap! I called the prosecutors office and the Attny Gen and neither have any record of what she is proclaiming! I haven't sent anything but I have to admit that I am a little nervous!

I am smh after reading these posts!! I am so thankful that 1, I did not have the money when these jerks called me & 2, my boyfriend talked me thru it!!  I received a message yesterday from a Thomas Lawson (TELEPHONE NUMBER 330-777-4227) stating it was urgent to call him regarding a check matter.  The message was left for my boyfriend, stating he was found as an affiliate of me and it was important that either one of us call him back.  So, I called him & he stated he was a prosecutor & I was facing 3 felony charges for presenting a bad check.  He was very "professional".  He advised me that he could get me out of these charges because I had a very clean background, but I had to answer some questions.  I was scared of course, so I answered the questions.  Where did I work, Current address, Had I ever been convicted of a felony...etc.  He then placed me on hold while he "called" the prosecuting attorney to see if they could drop the charges.  He came back on and said he had good news & bad news.  Good news was the charges could be dropped, however payment needed to be received before the order was presented to the judge....at 8am the next morning!!  LMAO  I told him I didn't have $778 & wouldn't have any of it until I got paid.  He was like "How short are you?"....VERY PROFESSIONAL!!  He proceeds to tell me that it would be wise of me to borrow the money from someone & if I could at least get half of the money, he could have the charges stopped by signing his name to the order.  He tells me that I must go to Wal-Mart & wire the money to WCCI before 8am this morning...luckily, I didn't because I now realize this is a SCAM!!!  This man is from Akron, OH (supposedly) & the phone being used is a cell phone.  When he calls, it shows up on the caller id as: PATRICIA DEGRE.  He ends every call/message with: Protect yourself & Good Luck!  UGH!! THIS JUST DISGUSTS ME!!!  I hope this keeps someone else from being scammed!!

Received a voicemail message from Crystal Smith.  She says she's affiliated with Fraud and Worthless Check Division.  When I call back Travis Sullivan answers and threatens to arrest me regarding a payday loan from JHS. Refuses to send any written documentation and wants me to send payment via Moneygram to WCCI.  They also use the following numbers:  2812064496, 2026842191 amd 2345256566

No More worries everyone. This fake company will soon be put to rest. I have been researching them and good thing I have a family member who works for the Government because when they find these [***] they will all be arrested and hopefully we can all be reimbursed.

Also they have a new agent by the name of Larry Turner so everyone be aware of him also.

They have been harrassing family that I have not spoken to since 1997. I wouldn't get involved but my cousin just lost her 6 year old son to an ATV accident and this is the last thing she needs.

I got the number finally and called them. This is how the conversation went:

Him: Hold On
Him: Hello

Me: What company are you with?

Him: Who is this?

Me: What company are you with?

Him: I need to know who this is first.

Me: You have been violating my rights for days harrassing people I haven't spoken to since 1997. Now tell me who you are with.

Him: If you don't divulge your name to me then this conversation is over. How do you feel about that?

Me: Then I guess this conversation is over.

And I hung up. I have sent word to family that they need to demand their number not be called again and if it is then they will press charges for harrassment.

Larry Turner has a number in Akron, Oh 1-330-777-4252 and said he represents the U.S. Attorney Generals Office.  I called the Attorney Generals office for the State of Ohio and they said this is a scam and no one should pay them anything.  If you owe a debt ask for something in writing before you pay anything.  Don't send anything by money gram or western union as it cannot be traced.  Another number this Larry uses is in Washington D.C. and is 1-202-684-2191 and the person answering is Crystal or Jennifer.  They are all part of the scam.  They also use the law firm of W.C.C.I. which they said stood for Wineberg, Cochran, Caulson, and Irwin out of Akron, OH.  There is no such law firm.  They will tell you to go to Walmart and get the money gram and will also tell you exactly how to fill out the form.  Don't do it.  You are not paying on a debt you are being scammed.  Call the attorney generals office for the State of Ohio at 1-800-282-0515.  Also, report this to the FTC and the FCC.  Please put a stop to evil people.

on nov 2 2011 my daughter got a message from a state employee that is the way he identified himself as Adam Frost state employee for the State of Texas 614-848-7900 also a message Tanya 954-848-4625 these people asked for 1316.22 to be paid by 3O'clock that afternoon or the judge would be signing off on a warrant for my sister ...who are these people falsely representing the state of Texas and why the Pharr Police can not do anything about it....ADAM N TANYA if you got my message this morning  GET A JOB N STOP SCAMMING HONEST PEOPLE LIKE MY SISTER,,there was alot more said by FROST but dont want to upset myself and for people like my sister DON'T BE SO GULLIBLE USE UR COMPUTER N FIND THE AGENCY WHOS CALLING BEFORE U GET RIPPED OFF BY THESE CROOKS,, ADAM U SUCK AT LYING NEXT TIME TURN OFF UR T.V. They called me and told me the same thing today i am filing bankruptcy i told them they tried to tell me it did not matter i could not fiel bankruptcy on the debt they are so full of it i called my attorney and told them what they said they are contacting him that was today so i dont know what went on hopfully my attorney got him arrested the person that called me said the exact same thing that they told you but it was a different phone number and name my call came from weinburg cockry guys name was Larry and the number was 330-777-4252 the only thing i could recomend is to go file a police report because what they are doing is against the law they are thretening people and impersonating the attorney general

Isn't there something that can be done about Jennifer Page she was a rude, disrespectful you know... It's beyond criminal what this lady's doing to people I have the same story as everyone above and at the time she called me I was PREGNANT I mean c'mon... Any recommendations as to who to contact about this broad? Can't the FBI trace these numbers? Yes I'm classifying this as a PRANK call as far as I'm concerned
