Received call from this number today; robocall which came on saying my 6.9% credit card interest offer was due to expire. I hope they expire. Well, I traced it back to this site and see the message variously changes. For two weeks prior, I received similar robocalls from a 253 number telling me about some Microsoft idiocy. Since our complaints come from various Canadian provinces, i wonder if a generalized commercial service like AirMiles which records our information, and also our shopping habits, sells our telephone number to the scammers. Do any of you use AirMiles?

After pressing 1 to talk to an agent, the guy said he was a manager for the low interest credit card company. He called me because, apparently, I was ellegible to lower my interest rate on Visa credit card. He said my interest rate was currently at 19.5 % (which is not true, as I have a plan that gives me better rate than that). Then I asked him to remove my name from his calling list, as I already received such call from them in the past  and I'm not interrested. The guy (english language with indian accent) hung up on me without even saying "I'm sorry" or "No problem sir" or anything else. Just hung up on me (which is not very professionnal). I'm sure it is a scam.

Received a call from this number, although area code did not display, so assumed local (250) call, no one on other end of call.

Called 20  minutes ago.  Picked up - pre-recorded message stating "your credit card" - hung up.

this # called me about 10 minutes ago, some thing about my credit card acct. BLOCK PLEASE

I have had pressed the # like they said and I was answered by a living person... but soon after I could not understand the spoken english of the man talking to me (sounded strange) so I just hung up...
Since we cannot block this type of phone call I imagine they will keep calling again and again
I will never follow indication from a recording on the phone again...
I just called my phone cie and reported the possibility of a fraud by someone else using my phone number illegally...

We really live in a mad mad world...

It sure is a scam, run by groups of drug addicts down here in the U.S. Once they get your credit card number you will see hundreds, if not thousands of dollars charged to it on your next statement. BEWARE,and warn others!!!

I am on the do-not-call list. Why do they keep on calling? There are no way to speak to someone.
How can my number be removed from their list? Any suggestion?

tired and fed up with that call coming on regular basis; what do we have to do to get rid of these calls once and for all?

yes I answered once but the line hung up.

They keep calling with the hope you will fall for their scam, and they will be able to cheat you out of hundreds, if not thousands of dollars after getting your credit card number. The only way I was successful in completely ending the annoying calls was to answer the call and waste their time.The ''card services" scammers soon learn there is no money to be made at your number, and it will be removed from their robodialer list. If you're interested in the method I used, simply Google my name.

Banks do not have strangers call on their behalf don't give any info.

Call wanting to lower my credit interest - pushed 1 for operator - when I was only half way thru saying "Please take me of your list and do not call agsin" they disconnected without saying thanks or anything.  If I receive another call where can we get of the list - these call were rampant in the UK this time last year sometimes up to 6 calls a day.  I hope we in Canadain will not allow this.

Putting this # on the do-not-call list won't work. Just because it comes up as 250 doesn't mean it comes from BC.  It could be an International code so putting a 1 in front does not work.  Have had several calls and never answer.

just received a call from this number (2:50 pm, Feb 19, 2013, Kelowna BC). checked the caller id and decided not to pick up as I`m working and didn`t recognize the number. no message left. thanks, everyone, for all the info and insight
