I Collect numbers now & check them on 800notes...don't answer...they're India Scammers. now using BCarea codes.

I received a call from 250  427  2494 at 3:53 today, February 19, 2013.

I followed the lead and pressed 2 which led to a person. When asked, he said he was calling from Vancouver. I told him I have asked before that they not call me again, and I was going to report them. He then hung up on me.

These calls are being made on Telus phone lines, but Telus tells me there is nothing they can do. They checked on this number and found it was coming from Kimberly, not Vancouver, but I think it was on a trunk line like previous callers, and originated in the USA. I am going to contact the no-call list again, which I have done several times, then my MP and ask him to put pressure on the CRTC and shut them down.

This number calls every night between 5pm-8pm. I never pick up and always look up numbers I don't know on here first. This type of thing makes me so angry. I wish there was something I could do! Yelling at them won't do a darned thing. Too bad we don't know their home phone number. I would hit redial continuously from 11pm-7am. I'm in the GTA area.

They called my number and when I called back I got the NOT IN SERVICE recording. What do I do to report this. Is this a safe site.

I received a call from this number today.  We live mid island area.  A couple of weeks ago, we received a call from a woman with a strong undetermined accent demanding quite rudely, our credit card number.  We apparently purchased a microwave oven and hadn't paid yet.  We have not purchased a microwave nor anything else that required payment. (I"m not certain these two calls are related, but I certainly have my suspicions)

these calls have to stop! I think bell canada needs to be held accountable for who is illegally using Their phone lines!

This party called my land line last evening but i was out. The party failed to leave a message. This number has called my home in the past but i never answer it. I don't need the grief and i don't have the time to play their scam game

To day at 1.48 pm they called me ; I saw the number in the caller i d and took the phone and hung it back.I get this call quite often.Don't answer them
They are abusing the phone system and make life miserable for other people
Bell Canada (since they are calling me and I use Bell) or the RCMP should do some thing to stop these guys

this number has called a LOT lately both for credit card number and environnemental survey's
this number is DANGEROUS for sure. The very first time they called was 1 year ago : message telling you you're late for credit card payment , then the INDIAN MEN'S voice asking me for my info , persistant , transfer me to a woman after that, after unable to answer my questions they hang up...

for the last mont now it is starting again , this time with the survey (the only time I answer and hang up)
I'm already on the nationnal do not call list (so telemarketers can't call you, except company your doing businness with and donation call) so I know these calls are dangerous as I say before...

I called the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre (aka PhoneBusters) and they told me this number is already know by them, and they cannot CUT this line so... I have a complaint file for this number at least...

I live in St-Hyacinthe QC. I recently discovered that I could use the *60 service from my phone company (Maskatel). It enables me to block directly at my phone company the number that is calling. I'm up to 3 numbers now and will keep going until I have peace at home :)
I'm pretty sure this service is available from other telephone company. If everyone does this, these scams won't be able to do much. I suppose the phone companies get a report of what numbers we block. If not, they should.

I live in southern Ontario and have recieved several calls from this number in the past couple of weeks. I didn't answer and they left no message.

If this is a credit card scam like some have mentioned I'm hoping that some of the Government screwups like information on  the 500,000 student loans that went missing hasn't fallen into the wrong hands.

I always get lots of telemarketing type calls even though I'm on the DNC list but the past few weeks has been outrageous as far as the number of calls I'm getting is concerned. As of today, Thursday, 52 different calls from different numbers since Saturday. No messages left from any of them.

I'm curious how many of you who got a call from this number have ever used the sites teambuy,dealfind,groupon,cakedeals or similar sites that offer a special reduced price offer for restaurants, trips, and other items for your city, or certain online women's clothing sites?
I ask this  because I only received a call from this number only after recently making a purchase online from one of those sites, Maybe there's no connection and they really just call anyone. Just a thought though.


I was called in Montreal,Quebec, I said hello, got no answer, so I hung up my phone but I was curious as to who the long distance caller was. It does say Kimberly,Vancouver, when looking it up, but now I see it could be from anywhere.

And the list goes on....all scams.  Do not press any number or give any of them any info.  There must be a dozen or so more numbers.  You are not alone in this stupidity.
