- Marc replies to PeteprintSame experience. The more I questioned he became agitated and started cussing. I tried to call the number back right after he hung up. Received the "number is no longer in service" message
- ZeeThis is an OLD and annoying scam. Last time I answered the phone when they called, I went along with the nonsense, and then declared that my computer was on fire, and started screaming that I didn't know how to make it stop. Worked to stop the calls for awhile.
- Caller: SCAM
- annoyed girlI got the call from Kent WA but the heavy accented man admitted he was in San Antonio TX and that not only was he a great computer engineer but that he worked for IT Solutions and for 5 yrs they were fixing a problem that Microsoft hadn't been working on. I kept him on trying to get him to give up more details on how they determined I needed said services- he finally admitted he doesn't have my IP but thought my name was Elizabeth (it isn't) and it was just a free offer in my area and basically they want you to let them have remote access to your computer. It breaks my heart for people who might get taken in because he came off very confident in his I'm with tech for microsoft to fix windows spiel before I started in on his motives. Just disgusting that you can be subjected to an attempted mugging or robbery in your own home and can't do a damn thing about it
- Caller: IT or ID Solutions
- Lyndano one there when I answered
- samgetting phone calls from 253-243-1281..foregin accent guy ...named Frank, my IP address is coming up with some issues...can;t even read off a card...studders alot...been calling for days, on a don't call list but that must not matter...
- Mister DaveI just got off a lengthy call with these clowns. I was able to keep them occupied for almost 25 minutes, slowly asking them to explain to me how, by allowing THEM access to my PC, they would be able to protect little 'ol me from those bad foreign people that took over my "Windows" PC and were trying to commit "illegal crimes". My wife was cracking up. First and foremost, I don't run windows, I'm all Mac. Secondly, I have been in the InfoSec IT business for 16 years, so I knew this was a joke from the moment I answered the phone. The funniest part was when I asked them to tell me how to configure my personal SRX firewall to allow them into my home network, bypassing my proxy and without them knowing what public IP address they were using OR what my public IP address was. After I rambled on for a couple of minutes, he says, "You are very good at saying technical things. That is good so you know how much I can help you". LOL !!!!!!
Scumbags.- Caller: Kent, WA 253-243-1281
- Lori StaniferContinues to call. Very rude!
- Nerd MomI got a text message saying it was from Boeing employees credit Union, and to call them about an urgent matter at this number. I don't even have a BECU account, nor have I ever done business with them. I'm figuring it's a scam. 631-246-4851 is the number they texted from.
- EdThis is a call from lowlife criminal morons. They tend to spoof numbers, so seems impossible to block. If I do answer the phone for this scam, it ALWAYS sounds like I am talking to someone who is calling from India. Anyway, is ye old "microsoft scam". Never have listened to the entire pile of crap presentation, as I usually just tell them that their scam is ridiculous. One time I did go along with the nonsense (without really listening to the details) - and told them that my computer was smoking and beeping, and didn't know how to fix it. I really don't understand how a scam this dorky, can yield any return for the scammers, but so it goes. They are about as bad as the credit card scammers, who call everyday. I mean really, after the first few thousand scam calls, even an idiot will catch on.
- Caller: scum
- pissed offI play along as if i am at my computer and ask what random error messages mean....like my computer says your sister is ugly
- Caller: microsoft scam
- NightowlThis caller phoned at 10:30 am, the name on the caller ID was Kent from 253-243-1281 I did not answer as I do not recognize the person or the number. If they had started to leave a legitimate message I would pick up, otherwise I am not answering scam callers.
- UnknownI have received two calls. The last time I requested to be taken off their list when he became frustrated when I asked him simple questions like how he the house # from the IP address. When he said it was from where we bought the PC, I told him my husband built the PC. He changed the subject. Bottom line-scam. The second time I received the call was at 7:00 a.m. EST.
