Recorded message about interest rates -- obviously a scam because credit card companies compete, they do not work together. Scary that some folks might respond.  I'm on 'no call' list and the calls keep coming. If unanswered, they do not leave a message.

Robocall offering to lower my credit card rate.  I'm on donotcall.gov.  I've reported the number to esupport.fcc.gov/complaints/htm.  I continue to get called almost daily.  When I pressed a button to get to an operator, and asked what company they represent, she hung up on me.  When I call the number back, I get a different recorded message each time.  Once this message let me "opt-out," but the phone calls continue.

Got a call today saying I'd been pre-approved for a lower rate.  On what, they didn't say.  I went ahead and pressed 1 to be connected to a representative.  The rep simply answered, "fulfillment center."  First question I asked when she answered the phone was, "what company are you with," and she immediately hung up on me.

Sounds like a scam to me.

Got a call from these a55wipes just now.  Some crap about lowering my interest rates.  When the live bimbo answered, I said "This number is on the do not call list" to which she replied "Guess not" and hung up.

We received an automated call from this number, stating that they could lower our interest rate, to find out more, press 1.  We don't know if it's related or not, but we also received a letter from Johns Hopkins, my husband was a patient there, that our information was recently compromised by an employee.  They had access to my husbands name, address, phone #, SS#, and parents names.  There is currently an indictment.
Ever since this happened, we've been receiving strange packages in the mail that we never ordered, and we're getting these calls.
It could just be a coincidence that it's also based out of Maryland.   But maybe it's related?

asked then to stop but they have called 4 times with in the last week. Get a whistle I did Protect yourself. I keep filing  complaints and it doesn't work.

Got a call from this number i did not awnser,  and called them back.........and the recording said you are calling from XXX-XXX-XXXX if this is the number you wish to move press one now so i hung up

I am from WV and received calls from this number today 3 times.  When I tried to call it back the operator said the number is no longer in service.

Got another call from (301) 882-9982. These people will not stop calling. Starts off automated recording then says press the number 2 to speak to someone about “lowering my rates.” When I do and nicely ask them to take my number off their list, they always hang up on me. When I call back and get another operator, that one hangs up on me. My numbers are on the Do Not Call Registry.
So, my advise you everyone that gets a call from a company list this is go to the Do Not Call Registry and file a complaint. https://www.donotcall.gov/ 
BTW - love the whistle idea. I have one and will use it next time.

I just got a new phone (Panasonic KX-TGA106) it allows me to block unwanted numbers. If your phone has that option, USE IT.

Wanted to lower credit card debt, consolidate bills, lower mortgage, etc.

I am receiving calls from 301.88.9986.  When I answer, there is no one there and the line goes to a dial tone soon after I answer.

i get a call every day from this number at least once.  i answer, and nobody responds.

second time I have received this call to lower my interest rates on credit cards. Notice they never say which card and most people are smart enough (I hope) to realize they would be informed my their own credit card companies if this were on the up and up. NEVER give out any info on any of your credit cards.

This has nothing to do with your contact with the Lending Tree 4 years ago. This is a scam being operated by an independent company. I suspect that it's a scam outfit trying to get people's credit card numbers to perpetrate fraud & theft.

Keep calling. Punch #1 and try to complain and they hang up.

Call them back and you will get a recording that repeats your number and asks if you want it removed.

saw number on my caller id.  Lookup up on internet and saw comments that it was a company wanting to lower interest rates on credit cards.  My credit card number was compromised a couple of weeks ago.

I've gotten this call 2 times, haven't picked up the phone. they don't even leave a message.

I received a call from this telephone number on May 30, 2009, at 4:28 PM EDT.  The number appeared on my caller ID screen along with CALL CENTER, MD also showing.  A female recorded voice told me to hold the line for a representative because they might can lower my credit card interest rates.  I held on for curiosity and a male voice came on the line in about four seconds but I could not understand what he said so I said, "Excuse me." meaning I wanted him to clarify what he said.  With this he hung up the phone.  This is the third time I've received a call from this humber over the past several days.  I am on the federal NO CALL list and the Georgia NO CALL list.
