- RBI just got a call from this number, it was a man with a heavy Indian accent. He said he got a report of a problem with my computer that my computer automatically sends out when there are internal issues. He talked a bunch of computer babble. I told him I was not having computer problems and he instantly hung up.
- Call type: Prank
- JPHJust got a call from 307-243-5143 Steve Parker telling me that he was from Microsoft support and there are technical problems with my computer and was sending him error messages. He then asked if my computer was currently on, well if it is sending you error messages, don't you think it would be on?! I work in IT, know this is a scam and have anti-virus software on my computer. I also know Microsoft doesn't call you. I said he wasn't calling from Microsoft and hung up on him, glad I did considering I am reading posts where it got vulgar.

- Yuri LevenfeldA standard Microsoft techsupport scam.Claimed my computer was "reporting errors" to them. The guy had a sick indian accent. Too bad, because I am an IT engineer and know perfectly well how this scam works. Well, I called him "motherf...r" and promised that he will spend a few next years in jail, then hung up. This didn't stop the moron, he tried to call twice more, each time getting another curse treatment from me. Obviously, after the third call, his small brain realized that I am not going to listen, so he stopped calling.
- Caller: Fake Microsoft techsupport
- deeHave had several calls from them on my cell phone. I never answered and never will - my cell phone is MY cell phone; I pay for the minutes.
The strangest thing is the set of numbers above the number on this page. It's about 16 numbers, beginning with a "V".
Is there a Do Not Call Registry for Cell Phones too? - Spaceflightengineer...ans machine had a recording of people yuking it up- then "Hello?? Hello??". B/g noise sounded like fifty monkees [***] a football.
- Caller: Unk
- Steve307 243 5143 Called indicating that they were from Microsoft IT Support. Could hear lots of other people in the background talking with other individuals on the phone working the same scam. When I asked for a call back number I was given 844 282 7807. I attempted to Google it while talking with the caller and she hung up on me when I didn't agree to log on to my computer as she requested.
- Caller: Microsoft IT Support
- SamCatUnknown caller. Left no message. Legitimate callers will leave a message.
Blocked and sent to my spam folder.- Caller: Unknown
- Sue replies to SkepticalI ask them to hold for a moment, then go back, make them repeat, and keep them on the line wasting their time asking them dumb questions until they tell me I need to be in front of my computer. I ask last one what if I do not have a computer. He said how do you get your email. I said, I don't. He said bye. LOL
- MJMIndian guy said we have a problem with our computer and for us to log on so he can help determine what's wrong.
It's sad that there are elderly or gullible people who may actually fall for this scam.- Caller: ??
- TIRED BETTY replies to PRCalifWhy are we receiving calls on our cell phones. How did they get our number?
It used to be on my home phone. - StLI actually contacted the corporate office of this guy. He does not work with Microsoft. He says your computer is compromised which it is not. I almost sounds like he hacked it. Anyway they told him to stop calling which he did for awhile but now is back at it again.
He wants to sell you all sorts of anti malware, spyware and virus protection for about $100 per computer.
My dad got scammed by this guy and I was able to fix it- Call type: Telemarketer
- MissooI just got a call from 307-243-5143. I am female.
Very heavy Indian accent telling me my "Windows" computer was infected, sending out lots of distress signals blah blah. Obviously a scam. When I called him out on this being a scam, he started to say utterly disgusting and sick things like he was going to call day everyday, he knew where I lived, and would do unspeakable sexual acts. What a disgusting, filthy PERVERT. He then threatened he was going to cause me trouble with the Police and FBI (good luck, Chuck, with that). I told him I was not only on the Federal DNC list but also the State one.
I asked to speak to his supervisor. PERVERT waited a few seconds then came back on the line "pretending to be his supervisor". Funnily enough all the background noise had stopped while he was telling me what disgusting sexual acts he was intending to do so presumably they are all in on this. These are sick, sick, SICK individuals who clearly get a kick out of talking dirty and harassing females on the phone.
I have the right to call something what it is (a scam), I have the right to warn them against calling again (I am on DNC lists), I have the right to not be threatened by a man saying he is going to do sick things to me. HE DOES NOT HAVE ANY RIGHT TO CALL ME.- Caller: "Windows IT Support" (Allegedly)
- EricSame as everyone else, lady with a heavy South Asian accent tells me that my computer has been experiencing errors for the last week, I immediately but calmly ask "is this that deal where I'm supposed to open a command prompt and you have me type something to receive a string of text that's identical on all Windows computers that you take to mean that I'm infected?"
She hung up before I finished.- Caller: Pretending to be Microsoft

- SammyIsn't it hilarious how these people from India have such normal American names? Like, Paul, Dave, John, Steve, Brad, etc.?
This guy tried the same thing with me. I strung him along, long enough that he got suspicious. Then I told him my computer was an Apple. He got very explicit about sexual acts he was going to do to me. I laughed and I said "Really? Good, I haven't had sex for a while". He hung up, all tongue-tied. LMAO!- Caller: NAME NOT FOUND
- AnonymousCalled; no message. Based on what I'm reading, I am not going to answer.
- Ed ColoradoSame BS call and I laughed at him and thanked him for the laugh. He (John) hung up and I reported it to the FBI and the FCC. I also emailed a local TV station and they said they would broadcast this info. A month later my wife got the same call and when she answered it was Susan. Both heavy accents and it also sounded like a call center in the background. We both enjoyed messing with them and pi**ing them off.
- Caller: Could understand the accent
- Me Too!Let the machine pickup and no message except for loud sound like tv station going off the air.
- Caller: Name Not Found
- mcbfreceived a call from that number. no identification, did not recognize the number. They did not leave a message on the recorder
- GrannyJOCalled about 6:30 PM (dinner time for a lot of people) and when I answered, there was obviously someone on the line, but no one said anything. I put them on Speaker and just left the phone. They finally hung up.
- Caller: Who knows?
- donnagarnetI got several calls from this number, & after reading the reports here (thanks, kids!) I decided to answer one. A man with a heavy accent was obviously reading a script; he claimed his name was Susan Martin. I decided to play along, & pretended to follow all his instructions. After several minutes of tapping on my desk so it would sound like I was typing on my keyboard, Susan asked me what the message on my monitor was. I told him it said that Susan was a jerk & she was scamming me (except I wasn't so ladylike in my use of language). Then I hung up.
I actually got another call this afternoon. I told "Steve" the truth; that I use Linux & haven't used Windows in years. He said he'd take my name off his list.- Caller: Pretend Microsoft
