This is through check-n-go or 3rd parties that you go to to get a payday advance.  This is a scam and I've called 3- 4 months ago and all they are trying to do is get the rest of your BANK INFO.  DO NOT give them any info.  You HAVEN'T done anything wrong.  They charged $19.95 to my account although I didn't give them anymore info.  Not sure how this happened, but it was reversed.  I went ahead and closed my bank account so it wouldn't happen again.  Basically these people purchase a block of #'s to call you from that cannot be traced, then they try to get all the other info. so they can scam you for money.  They only receive the last 4 digits of your account # and/or s.s. #.

The check n- go and other 3rd party companies are aware of this.  They need better security.  Too bad so many of us have to get an advance one in awhile.

I think "Rebecca" probably works for these scam artist....the police wouldn't have anyone calling you telling you that you were gonna go to jail.  They would send officers out to pick you up.

i to recieved a call from these people, they said they represented Ace which they do not. Attorney General Says defaulting on a pay Day Loan is not check fraud and you cannot go to Jail for it, it is a civil matter, and furthermore it is against the law for a collection agency to call and tell you they are going to have you arrested, you could sue them.If in fact they are Lawyers dont you think they would know the collection laws?

i have a message on my answering machine that refers to check fraud investigation also has a harris county case number on it along with last 4 digits of my social security number i was a bill collector for 12 years and all of this is illegal under fdcpa i called the num and asked a man who refused to give me his name or any physical address but did say this is a law firm this is illegal even for a law firm to do unless they fully intend to sue and the fact they left a harris county case num shows this would already have been put into motion if it were true i also reported this to the federal trade commission and attorney generals office would also help. folks save your messages you get from them and see what legal remedies you may have by consulting an atty i think its 3 or more people to file a class action suit ftc told me they cant doanything on 1 complaint and if interested if i can find an attorney willing to take this on i will post info on this website or if you can find atty please leave his name or num on this page too --i no longer will bill collect for any company it is bad karma

William Scott & Associates called me and told me I had a debt for $1,123.69 and I told them to go to hell.  I know I borrowed $369.57 in 2008, but I had no idea that the interest was SO high on cash advance loans.  I finally found my contract and realized the risks involved with borrowing money from those places.  I finally finished paying it off and I ended up paying 3 times more!!!!  It’s not worth it!! Its money laundering….but believe me….you can go to jail for this!!!!

I have being receiving phone calls for 3 weeks now this are the phone # 901-584-0496 he siad his name was IEN BSFOP and claim that I onw money form a payday loan company he did not gave me no adress and I have not reciave no letter, he knew personal details about me, and said that I would go to jail, among other deragatorie coments , this are the other phone numbers that I have being getting and all of them seams to work together a fraudulent colection agnecie they all claim to work with the goverment, and they are man and woman with a midleeast accent if I am not mistaken, this are the other name he use John white and call from 347 669 4740, other number 805 621 7031 other number 813 964 32 98, this are very shaddy people, I would do what is nesesari to get them to go were they belong and that is jail.

these people keeps calling me stating that I am a fraud and to call them. I called my local police Dept and they will look into this. Is there any way that I cal block my number from this people.

You honestly have to work for these people.  Otherwise, you were jailed for something else.  Loser!!!!!!

I received a call from a guy saying he was from this outfit Williams Scott Assoc. He was polite and then started talking by indicating he was checking verification of possible fraud against me. Not a new twist here, talks as they want to confirm they are talking to the right person before they start their speech on how they intend to collect money from me, in this case a payday loan from CashNet USA. The caller ID on my phone said it was the 312 area code which is a small area near the inner loop of downtown Chicago.

He identified himself as an investigator. So I asked if he was a law enforcement officer? He replied he was not. I then asked if he had something to write with?  He replied that he did, so I gave him the name and phone number of my attorney as I am in the middle of Chapter 7. He asked my legal counselor was a BK lawyer and I did not respond, then I hung up.

I contacted my attorney and gave him the name and number. My attorney emailed me back and told me it was a scam, despite the fact they had all my personal information. He said they could have obtained that info from the original debtor. End of story.

Remember, gang. No bill collector can have you arrested. At best, they can sue you and your case will then be heard in a legitimate court of law, not over the phone with some wheeler-dealer.

Received a call from these crazies called from number 312-239-0201...Left a number of 786-319-4349 ext 131 to contact Jennifer Scott.....This chick was looking for a family member...so she says. What a scam, so I googled andn found this sight. I will be filing a complaint aganist these people for harrassing me on something that is nothing to do with me. They told me that this "family member" needs to call them asap or their attorney before they call the local authorities to have the warrant issued for the "family member". Let's see if these ppl call again. They claimed they had a felony case aganist this person.

I received a call today about my brother and the lady Jennifer Scott is who called me. she was talking about check fraud, internet scam, and fleeing the country. she told me my brother military rank but couldnt tell me what branck of the military he was in she stated that the United states department of justice considered deployment fleeing the country and if he had these charges against him they would of known about it in the military and not deployed him this is a total scam. when my mom found out she asked me if jennifer scott was the lady from the weather channel and i said yes it is lol dont listen to these guys i will be filing a class action law suit against these people tomorrow.

These a**holes called my job being very RUDE, so I disconnected the call.  he then called the main number & informed the receptionist that I had a warrant out for my arrest & it was for check fraud,also that they were going to send someone to my job to pick me up!  I googled & found this site...come to think of it, they have been calling me.  They called earlier this year.  the guys name was Investigator Jeff Dean @ 312-239-0201 ext 130 & he left a case number.  There should be a law that these jacka$$es can't call your job & tell EVERYONE lies.  I called the number back & never got an answer.  I will be contacting the DA's office immediately!!!!

These people are total [***]! The first I heard of these guys, they called my severely ill father in law in PA and told him that I would be arrested and sent to prison for 57 months if I didnt pay some bogus debt by 4:00pm THAT SAME DAY! The woman presented herself as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer (LIES! I plan on suing!) and refused to be civil toward me and actually called me an "irresponsible [***]" for taking out a pay day loan and writing a bad check in 2008. She wouldn't listen to any of what I was telling her and refused to provide me with any documentation. Here's the kicker...I was institutionalized in a mental facilty at the time that the check was supposedly written. Needless to say I ended up telling her to EFF OFF and hung up. That afternoon I called my lawyer and they confirmed that there were no warrants for my arrest in ANY state. So today after my father in law received another call, I decided to call these jerks back again and flat out tell them that I had hired an attorney, was prosecuting them for immitating a law officer, called them on their shenanigans and demanded they stop calling my father in law. This time I got a man who was actually nice to me and confirmed that there was NO RECORD of me or my SSN in their database and there must've been some sort of mistake. Ya think?! I'm still prosecuting for harrassment and the whole pretending to be a law officer deal. My lawyer is ALL OVER IT!

PS- you uneducated "collection agents" can blow me. This proves that you people are ignorant [***] whether or not someone is actually guilty! My suggestion to you is that maybe you A) learn how to speak something other than Ebonics. B) Get off the food stamps. C) Go back to school and learn how to do something productive with your life rather than harrass innocent people with REAL CAREERS. And most importantly D) stop ending all of your sentences by sucking your teeth into the phone. We live in the United States, not India or Guatamala or Mexico, learn ENGLISH.

i have received two calls from this harassing company, same guy, sounds like he is reading off a script. threatening me with check fraud....One i have never written a check...TWO i got my credit report right away after receiving this call to see if i had any unpaid debt to what they were claiming, and just as i thought, i dont. this is a scam, and im tired of stupid companies calling and harassing me for things that are not true or releavant to me just to get money. people like this have no morals and need to fall off the face of the earth. im going to now file for phone fraud. im tired of this!

I recieved several calls on a pay day loan that was over 6 years old that I had defaulted.  I was told I was going to be charged with check fraud, sent to jail for it, FBI was going to be notified if I didn't pay all that was owed plus fees.  I had to check with my attorney, his advice was our state laws defined this loan over the number of years needed to be processed as collecticable.  They kept threatening me for a few weeks.  Check with an attorney, debt counselors on your individual cases and don't be hesitate to call Federal Trade Commission because we have consumer rights on debts.

Just so you know this company is a scam . Ace Rogers called me from them and he lied he gave me a police report that was not even a #  . 312-239-0201 then he tells me to call him back at 818-237-3746 this Guy is full of [***] And also ace check in to cash sold my loan to Forward property int so how did Williams Scott get it  I have filled a Harassment with the Sacramento police own this company
