called, I didn't pick up. Utica, NY. They did not leave a voicemail. Same thing happened to me when I called back, got a Verizon message saying the number was no longer in service

Criminals. Scam about "student loans".  Ha!  I've never had a student loan, they're criminal identity thieves trying to wheedle our personal info.  I ripped them a new one and am now reporting them.

Why can't this intrusion be stopped?  Same M.O. for me; called on cell (yes, I'm enrolled in DNC registry) but left no msg.  Will block, but still annoyed that the burden is on me to stop this type of caller

That's the thing, they aren't legit. They don't care about the DNC list. They're scammers. Block and move on.

I wouldn't bother calling them back, except if you have extra hours in your day.

Reporting numbers here doesn't do anything, trigger any kind of investigation. If you want to report to the FTC, go right ahead. They are the ones who can do something about it.

Student Loan Scam

Auto message from the "National student loan center" Some BS about refinance.  Didn't listen long. Robo-dialer scam BS

Same scam Said they could lower my Student Loans by 40%. I don't have any

$cientology Church do not take their calls.

None hung up when i answered,   Blocked them  I keep getting spam calls from this area, Utica NY.  I  think they keep changing the number.  Blocked this one too.

Major scam...they told me that I owed money on my delinquent student loan. They asked for a credit card. Really? Major jerks!

Call came in to my landline phone.  As other posts here have said, a recording came on regarding student loans.  I hung up.

Robo i think, i do not answer unknown callers

Called my cell [which is on the DNC list] today silence when I answered.  They disconnected after 7 seconds

When I get these calls I always check the number here.  If I find a report the caller is blocked.

Called about reducing my student loan debt. I have not been in college for decades, and never had a student loan. Blocked and reported to FTC, FCC, FL AG

as posted below it's from Kevin Casanova in Utica. If you google his name and Utica you will find he is tagged with "internet fraud" and posts false relationships with real companies and tries to get you to invest with him. checkout ripoffreport.com July 2012...  He actually has a linkedin profile and it looks like he is now running a company called Network Brokerage and TVI since 2010. hang onto your wallets boys and girls!!!!
